"I thought you were joking about that drink. ----- I'm not good with alcohol."
"T-Ten years? I-… I’m sorry to hear that." Her face falls, but Clara tries to shake off the awful feeling to focus on the former problem. “How long d-do you usually wait?”
"It's alright. You don't need to be sorry." Flicking her pencil against the wooden table, Alexia shrugged, "Honestly, the longest I've had to wait was two weeks, but artists can wait months. Patience is a virtue."
Hot summer nights, mid July When you and I were forever wild The crazy days, city lights The way you’d play with me like a child
”Holy shit— I didn’t know you were back.”
"Yeah, well ----- I didn't think you'd care."
Clara isn’t sure what to say to that— she know little to nothing about drawing, let alone any advice to give.
"Is there an-anything— wait, you lost your d-dog?"
Alexia kept her serious expression for as long as she could before letting it crack into a smile, "No, it's just a waiting period. For the drawing I mean, the dog was lost ten years ago. It was just a joke."
☪ “I know you didn’t call me over here to critique your room or anything. But I’m pretty sure that there’s a dumpster truck company that you can call to come help you clean all this up.” { But of course, since she physically can’t help herself she’s now pacing around their room picking up what little things she can. It’s a bad habit. }
"Well, it's not like it's rubbish or anything. It's just.. --- clutter."
{ That's a pretty bad excuse, but to be fair her room was only like this when she was pushing a deadline for a drawing.}
"Look, I'm not saying you're OCD, but you're OCD."
"Well, it’s not as easy as just sitting down and drawing. I need to be inspired, y’know? If I could just sit down and draw I wouldn’t be out here walking around like I’m looking for the dog I lost ten years ago.”
