to be fair, you can’t say it isn’t amusing
Balance wizards have always been more understanding than wizards who have trained in different magic. They can see connections and truths where others cannot. It is most obvious in the feuds the schools tend to embrace far too wholeheartedly.Â
Storm against Myth. Both are inventive, curious. One focuses on the present, on surviving and making a mark and hitting the most, on being the best they can be in any given moment. The other focuses on the past and future, their visions and studies guiding them. Both summon the most creatures of legend, neither knowing just how similar they are.Â
Ice against Fire. Both are passionate, as well as in tune with their own emotions. One focuses on struggling to restrain themselves, on channeling their feelings into energy to keep moving, to take as much damage as they can before they give out. The other focuses on expression, on making sure to never bottle anything up, and using it to hit as hard as they can when the need arises. Both are ruled by their emotions, neither knowing just how similar they are.
Death against Life. Both are constant, unwavering. One focuses on closure, on continuing to exist without fear and making the most of their short time. The other focuses on their existence in the moment, rather than taking in the picture as a whole, on being able to take pleasure from the little things. Both aware of their own mortality and what they can learn from it, neither knowing just how similar they are.Â
Sorcerers have, time and time again, reasoned with their fellow wizards, causing them to see their similarities, enabling them to be at peace with one another.
However, it is much easier (and much more fun) to incite arguments, perhaps even duels, between rivaling wizards, only to stand at the side with their snack of choice to watch the show.Â
