I was wondering where all the bees go when it’s this cold outside. Turns out they’re all back in the hive spooning the Queen to make sure she doesn’t die! Well, the internet calls it a “cluster, much like a huddle” but let’s be real people…
I’m in Arjeplog for the next 4 days, which means no beloved bear dog but lots of snow! Current temperature is -19°C. I deeply regret not bringing thermals.

Today I find myself reflecting on the many surprises and opportunities I have been afforded this year. Life seems to move forward in cycles, and while some parts of this year have been really difficult, each challenge has been tempered by something positive and I am incredibly grateful for the many wonderful experiences I’ve had this year. 👍🏼💛👍🏼💛👍🏼💛👍🏼💛👍🏼💛👍🏼💛 A big thank you to everyone on here for your continued support and enthusiasm towards the things that I make. A little illustration of one of @cat_rabbit’s Pocket Poms, because I simply couldn’t help myself.
Preview of some linework from a new illustration, prior to being coloured. For those who have asked in the past, I illustrate all my linework with a Uni-ball 0.7mm or 0.5mm fineliner, then scan it into the computer for colouring digitally. This process has evolved gradually as my computer skills have developed, and I find it to be a lovely marriage of both hand drawn and digital techniques.✏️✨🖥

Eyes on the prize! For the past 8 months I’ve been having some pretty frustrating vision issues*. It's stopped me from being able to draw as much as I would ordinarily, which has proved increasingly difficult for me, but I'm hoping that today it's finally been resolved. Here's my first test drawing in my new, and hopefully last, pair of new glasses. (Of a woman not wearing any glasses... clearly a projection of my frustrations😂.) *My script was updated incorrectly several times, only to discover it never needed to be updated at all. Less than ideal.
