Micah
Ash colored brows furrow together in mild confusion at Alexâs good to know we kept in touch comment. Unsure exactly of why they wouldnât have kept in touch or why the fact they had held any importance but Micah didnât question it, a smile in his friendâs direction the only response given before he disappeared towards the back of the building to grab him the promised glass of water from the kitchen. If Alex said heâd explain, he trusted him to do so. Reappearing a few moments later with a drink and some left over desert options in hand, Micah placed everything in front of Alexâs chair before taking a seat for himself. âPlease Alex, like Iâm gonna let you pay for anymore of my alcohol. I still owe you for those two years before I turned twenty-one and could buy some for myself,â he teased, reaching over the counter to pour two large glasses of beer from the tap. âAs you can see I poured myself a glass too cause technically I was off ten minutes ago, I just donât know when to stop working.â
As soon as the water was placed in front of him, Alex smiled his thanks before taking a few small sips. He knew better than to gulp it all down at once, no matter how much he wanted to. âThanks, man.â Taking a few more sips, Alex took a deep breath, unable to help laughing. âTrue, but the less said about my encouraging underage drinking the better. According to my mother, itâs one cause I decided to champion, as she says, in my prime.â Rolling his eyes a little, Alex drank some more water before pulling his beer over. âWell then, I came at the right time. If you finished ten minutes ago, then youâre finished. Cheers.â Replacing the water glass in his hand with the beer, Alex tapped his glass to Micahâs before taking a sip, the cold drink being exactly what he needed. âSo, none of this will make sense to you. I had an accident a few months ago and I donât remember anything from the last ten years. So catch me up, bro, how did you end up here? Were you from here originally?â If he was, maybe he would be able to help out with things that Alex couldnât remember, about the family he didnât remember. âItâs kind of weird for me, I donât remember being able to sit at a bar with you.. Still doesnât feel like we should be old enough.â
