Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is right: Donald Trump’s administration is running concentration camps which violate the basic dignity of the migrants held within them. 

But this video explores how Justin Trudeau is enabling and legitimizing Trump’s concentration camps by not suspending the safe third country agreement between Canada and the United States. 

Because as long as Canada recognizes the USA as a safe place for refugees, we are effectively saying that concentration camps have a place in a safe and dignified refugee policy

Hey, I was wondering if you knew anything about "Happy Dominion Day" graffiti. I was out and about today and saw it written all over the place, along with one "God Bless Canada" in the same handwriting. I thought it was really weird, had they said "Happy Canada Day" I wouldn't have given it a second thought, but the phrasing is so weird I wonder if it's some white supremacist thing?

“Dominion Day (French: Fête du Dominion) was the name of the holiday commemorating the formation of Canada as a Dominion on 1 July 1867. It became an official public holiday in 1879.[1] The holiday was renamed to Canada Day by Act of Parliament on 27 October 1982.“

This CBC article from last year addresses dominion day and canada day as "a day for fun", paraphrasing this 1970 Pierre Trudeau dominion day speech where he brushes off criticism from a "heckler".

Tonally the difference between the two seems to revolve around the politics of decolonization. CBC conflates the two as the same, a fun holiday, but communities like Surrey BC that have dominion day celebrations instead of canada day celebrations can end up being more racially exclusive or uninviting.
