In the song “concerning the UFU sighting near highlands, illinois” the piano playing is not the most consistent in rythm and is more focused on the volume (from what I noticed), and Iike it a lot.
I feel like in a world where everyone is really focused on creating the perfect songs with the most perfect beats and rhytms, it can be discouraging trying to play an instrument. This song is amazing and gorgeous even if its not perfect. sufjan stevens I love your music so much

and I sit down on my piano, the chair I grew up on, fingers move with no moments to spare. I sit and I sit and I think about everything. I sit, and my fingers move by themselves, a melody I heard a thousand times floats around the room. every note feels like a lifetime. I sit, and nothing matters.
I'm the most positive person you'll ever meet in your life until someone brings up the concept of growing up.

... and suddenly, I was scrambling to fit my journal and pens in my overflowing school bag. I didn't have time for 2 am writings in my bedroom windowsill. I had exams to study for, classes to attend, and people to avoid.
suddenly, all the judgement I managed to avoid during the peaceful months at home is gone and I'm left with the option to journal at home only. but if I barely get time to think, how can I find the time to journal properly?
exam season made me lose a sense of myself that I harboured and grew while trying to become the best version of myself.

I need a break from, like, every single fandom I'm in. I need to go back to my roots of only being active in the life series fandom- I'm not built for sharing music opinions and being active in artists fandoms
geniuenly since when are 6 days suchhh a long timeeee
just one more day.
exam season is geniuenly beating my ass but I made a promise to myself that whenever I finally finish this nightmare I'm gonna look out my window at night and listen to ribs by the crane wives, and now I think about it anytime I get weird thoughts, it geniuenly helps me keep going.
8 days and this 2 month nightmare is gonna finally end, I'm gonna finally make my birthday playlist, I'm gonna place an amazon order with some gifts for my friends and I'm gonna spend days in the pool listening to wallows
is this a safe place to say I haven't read silverborn yet..........
