Simple Productivity Timer for Windows
Hey so i found a timer to count the productive time of a day we’ve done here http://neilblr.com/post/58757345346 and decided to customize the program a little bit since the writer also includes the autohotkey script file.
So for you guys who don’t want to bother opening the link, the timer is actually consists of two timers which floats on top of your screen. You will then decide which program you use for productivity, in my case it’s photoshop and SAI paint tool. Then, it’ll count the time you actually spend in those productivity programs and whenever you alt tab (like browsing tumblr or play skyrim) the “active time” part of the timer will stop counting, and will continue counting when you go back to your productivity programs.
By having an additional total timer, you could actually realize how much time you think you spend doing your work and how much time you actually spend for your work.
quoting the original maker:
REMINDER THAT THIS IS FOR WINDOWS!
1. Extract the program to some folder or your desktop.
2. Run it. It will create an .ini file in the same location to remember settings.
3. Run Photoshop, Flash, Word, Excel, or whatever program you’re supposed be running.
4. Click the timer’s Menu button and choose one of the three program slots. It will say “Awaiting program…”
5. Click back to the program you want.
6. Repeat 4 and 5 for any other programs you need. It’s limited to three slots right now.
There are several additional option in the “MENU” such as “enable dragging”, “minimize”, and “About” since i decide to remove the windows border to make it look a little bit nicer (that’s just my personal preference tho)
And you could also edit the .ini file to edit the color of the background and the text if you want.
Download the program here (I provide two files of 32 bit since there’re two options when I convert from the autohotkey file, both are working in my PC so feel free to choose, if one version doesn’t work for you then try using the other one) :

32 bit Unicode : http://www.mediafire.com/download/izh8e7bco15buk9/Work_Timer_Unicode_32-bit.zip
64 bit Unicode : http://www.mediafire.com/download/k37bu701a4hu5hq/Work_Timer_Unicode_64-bit.zip
And the Autohotkey file if you want to further customize the script :

Ah and i apologize for the messy code, I’m a real newbie in programming Autohotkey lmao
