it’s my birthday but i can’t draw because my cat chewed up my tablet cord while i was on vacation and my new one isn’t coming until thursday. SNOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE

grimsley always talks about being constantly perceptive, learning everything he can about anyone he speaks to because it’s a “strategy.” thinly veiled trauma response aside, i think when he’s around adaman this skill becomes a love language. adaman loves to talk and tell stories and grimsley can sit and listen to him for hours. he doesn’t even realize he’s no longer on high alert because he’s too busy being a good listener and staring at adaman.

i'm curious now that we've seen it in your two most recent drawings, do you have a story behind adaman's scarred arm?

he was caught in the crossfire (literally) of a pokemon’s fire-type attack protecting one of his clan members. he just instinctively shielded himself with his forearm and ended up badly burned. his skin was especially sensitive to heat even years after the incident, so he kept it bandaged for pressure and security.
