Day 3 of Singing March 2026 - Video Game Music

Video Game music is a hard category because not many games have songs specifically made for them. This is one of the first examples I know of and this song holds a special place in my heart because I really enjoyed playing FF8 as a kid, which might be a bit of a surprise to some because most people, from what I've heard, don't really like the game. I used to think it was a bit slow and not that lyrically interesting, but I've grown to appreciate it more. It is all those things, but it is still a nice little ballad.

Day 2 of Singing March 2026 - Power Register

Ok Day 2 of Singing March means power register. I always love singing this song and I felt it matched the prompt but boy was my voice not ready for this one. You can actually pin point the moment my voice gives out haha.

I also want to address why this is showing up on day 15 of the month rather than Day 2. Unfortunately a number of factors stood in the way of me doing this challenge in real time - 1) life and work got super busy 2) my PC storage got really full and then most recently 3) Tumblr would not or could not process my video after 3 attempts and 12 hours of processing attempted - so I've managed to reduce some of the stressors and pressures in my life, cleared out about 170 GB of storage and have a new external NVME on the way so I can store footage off my computer entirely and now host my vids on youtube as unlisted videos so anyone can watch them.

Day 1 of #singingmarch for 2026 and the prompt for today is "Obsessed with Recently" (you can see all of the prompts here) Sienna Spirro's Die on this Hill has been living in my head rent free ever since I stumbled across it randomly while I was driving to work. The reason it resonates for me is largely makes me think of the resilience of my healthcare worker colleagues. We're short staffed, over worked and underpaid but we still show up day after day, working rotating shifts, at great personal cost, all because we care about our patients. I know that this isn't really what the song is about but that's my reading of it. So I dedicate this to all of my healthcare worker colleagues. I see you. Hopefully we don't have to "die on this hill"

Actually it’s 73 seconds. Data, knowing something of how human minds work, estimates that Riker will give him 60 seconds to come back (because humans prefer “round numbers”, however arbitrary the units). After 60 seconds it will take 4 seconds for Riker to fully process the conclusion that Data is, in fact, not coming back after all, and an additional 9 seconds to build to the optimum level of anxiety.

Be me. Tired as heck from staying up late for a work thing the previous night. Wake up early for a work thing. Leave work 2 hours late because of a work thing. Come home and essentially fall asleep at your desk at home. Go to bed 4 hours early. Get woken up by your alarm that you set, telling you to sleep... it is now almost midnight, and you have just had 4 hours of sleep, and your body is like, "Cool fam, this is what I'm used to. Let's go!" FML
