“You ever think about how just going to the Metaverse allows someone to be able to understand Mona and how an entire squadron of cops entered Sae’s palace when Joker got arrested? That means that there’s entire squadron of cops in this city that can understand Mona. And Mona goes off on his own a lot when Joker is busy. Or talks to Joker out of the blue in the middle of the city. I like to imagine one of those cops randomly passes by while Mona’s speaking and proceeds to silently freak the fuck out at the talking cat.”

Considering Shinjiro brought the food up for her (and had the forethought to eat his before he got to Mr. Sakura’s house), Futaba’s bag pilfering was met with little to no resistance. “Ooo, add a worm with a fake mustache.” He suggested with a laugh “You know, throw a curveball in.”

Shinji dropped himself onto Futaba’s bed, watching the hacker do her thing. “Before you ask, Bean Daddy knows I’m here.” Said Shinji, using a nickname for Sojiro, as he often does for everyone since officially joining the team “Oh! Idea! Set his ringtone to the song ‘Dr. Worm’!” 

With her treasure firmly in her grasp, she descended on her prey. Now that she thought about, she had been so wrapped up in her project that she hadn’t eaten anything since finding the curry Sojiro made and left for her before leaving for the cafe that morning.

“There’s an idea. I was going to do a few with Crow’s mask but figured it would blow his cover if someone else caught sight of it,” she informed once she had swiftly finished off the burger and moved on to the fries. “I was planning on making it Ironmouse’s rendition of ‘Holding Out For a Worm’ but your suggestion is duly noted. Also... can you not call my actual father figure ‘Bean Daddy’ in my presence?”

As he approached, Futaba zeroed in on the bag of greasy sustenance and tried to snatch it from him. “Nope. I’m going through his phone’s gallery and replacing every photo of Akechi with an exact duplicate, except Akechi is replaced with a worm-on-a-string with his hair drawn on.” A noble pursuit if ever there was one.
