“Oh, me?” Cal asked with a small laugh. “Catching up on work at the University and practising with the band. You know the normal. What about you?”

“I’ve been doing a few interviews, photo shoots, all local things.” She smiled. “Do you study music at school?”

“I was hoping you’d like it,” Cal said with a smile and felt himself blush a little. “I won’t make fun of you Alice,” He held out his pink and grinned. “Pinky promise.”

She smiled, hooking her pinky around his. “Ok, I’m going to hold you to that.” Alice laughed. “So you have to tell me what you’ve been up too since I last saw you.”

“It’s an Italian restaurant and it’s really fancy,” Cal smiled softly. “But the food is good and the menu’s like twenty pages long so I’m sure there’s a ton of options.”

“Ohh those kind of places are the best!” She grinned, getting excited. “You have to promise not to make fun of me for how I order cause there’s a lot I can’t eat, ok?”

Biggest regret?

“Probably letting my dad separate me from the magical world for so long. Now sometimes I just get so lost and overwhelmed by everything, but it’s also so wonderful. I wish I’d became more involved before now.”

Ana had taken to a small coffee shop in Diagon Alley to finish her drawing of a Norwegian Ridgeback. Since she’d seen a fair number of them during her studies, they were quite common throughout the UK, she didn’t feel the need to remain out in the field to put all the details on paper. She put down her work long enough to take a drink of her latte, noticing a girl that appeared to be looking for a seat. When she took another look around, she realized that the shop was rather busy. “You can sit here if you like,” Ana offered, a warm smile on her face.

Alice absolutely hated trying to find a place to sit when it was obvious there were none. She couldn’t help but think that the shop needed to add more tables to their sitting area, especially considering how popular they were. She was happy when a girl offered her a seat though, gladly sitting down across from her. “Thank you! All I want is to drink my macchiato in peace.” She laughed.

“I wouldn’t tell you! I’m a strong believer in keeping your wishes to yourself,” Cal said with a soft laugh and looked at Alice. “Wanna go to dinner now? I have a reservation for us at a nice place just a few minutes away if we walk. My band and I at there before performing at the pub next door so I’ve been dying to go back there.”

She nodded, “Sure! What kind of food do they have?” Alice wondered if they’d have some healthy alternatives, seeing as she couldn’t eat most baked and unhealthy foods.

Cal felt his face warm as the girl squeezed his hand but he smiled all the same and closed his eyes, wished on the star, then opened them again. “And now we wait for it to come true.”

“What did you wish for?” She asked excitedly, “Wait, don’t tell me or else it won’t come true.”
