Gisele kept her smile and voice soft so as to not further frighten a bashful Luke. It was sweet to see the way he curled against Alice; his mother and protector. She had never thought too much about having children; mostly because she was getting higher up in age and the idea of bringing them into the fold of their world terrified her. Still, that didn’t quell all hope that it might happen someday. “Sometimes unlaid plans are the best ones,” Gisele assured with a nod as Alice attempted to explain her absence. She felt people should be able to live their lives freely so long as they didn’t betray their oath family. Still, she was happy to be filled in. “Hey, if you’re happy then that’s what’s most important,” she promised. “And congratulations on walking!” Gisele praised, stealing another glance at the little boy. “I loathe moving, so I don’t blame you at all. Have you managed to settle in at least?”

𝐀𝐒 𝐌𝐔𝐂𝐇 𝐀𝐒 her son wasn't unplanned she tries not to dwell with negative thoughts or even discounting her frustration on the baby. Even for herself, it took a certain time to accept the change. ❛ You're right. ❜ She smiled softly, glad that life brought her a beautiful and amazing boy, which she loved very much, at the least she knew she wasn't alone. She'd do anything for that boy. Luke watched Gisele with his tired blue eyes and began to suck his own thumb finger, and yet very cuddled into his mother's body, giving her a timid smile when she congratulate him on his new skills. ❛ Yes, I don't much to unpack by now... Luke's room was the first thing to be done. ❜

“I always wanted to have animals but because of my dad, I never asked,” she said with a frown. Her dad was a taxidermist so animals were out of the question. “I want to adopt one or more, but I don’t know. Most of the time I’m out of the house and I don’t want the poor baby to feel lonely, even when cats love their independence and all,” she said with a small smile. “My work prevents me from staying at the house too much so we’ll see,” she sighed. “I’m sure Luke already has you wrapped around his little finger, huh?” Elaine smirked. “If he asks you for a dragon you’ll try to get him one, right?” she smiled.

I have a friend, she's very busy like you, and she had a cat. This is why I think you could've one. ❜ She understands her point of view, in general cats adapt to their owner, or so she heard it, for this reason, she thinks Elaine could get one. But dogs, are very complicated, therefore, the brunette should do whatever her heart tells her to do. She chuckled with her last question.❛ I'm doomed, aren't I? Unfortunately, yes. ❜

Elijah hummed softly, as he shrugged softly. “I guess family can be a little over rated. I can let you borrow my sisters, that’s probably the only good in the family other than my mom.” He shrugged lightly with a smile. His mother wanted him to move away so his father wouldn’t force him to take over the family business, yet he was in another city doing the exact opposite of what his mother wanted. He smiled softly and nodded, “Most kids tend to be like that, means they are well taken care of and that their stranger danger sense is well developed.” Even though it had been over a decade of the time, he basically swallowed any parenting book he could to prepare himself. He still remembered a lot of it even though he never used the information. It made him a pretty good baby sitter. He chuckled softly, “It’s this great thing were you catch up on sleep you missed, I’m always happy to help if you want to try it out.” He joked back with a grin. He licked his lips as he hummed softly, “I would consider it safe if you stay away from crowds, things are tense right not but we wouldn’t want to deprive Luke from a surfing lesson. I wouldn’t mind taking along if it makes you feel better? So far everything has been chill by the beach since New Years.”

𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐂𝐇𝐔𝐂𝐊𝐋𝐄𝐃 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 he said he could borrow any of his sisters to her, shaking her head. The blonde was really impressed with his knowledge about babies and children, if anything he probably knows better than her. Lapaglia did not have the patience to read a book about kids, because turns out nothing teaches people parenting, which case, is a case. ❛ I'm very surprised for you to know about children. I think you know better than me. ❜ She jokes, even though this could be a possibility, who knows? ❛ I'll definitely try this.❜ She quipped and refers to trying to get some nap. Grey-bluish eyes met his gaze when he responds to her question about the beach. ❛ Tense? How so? ❜ She asks in curiosity wondering what did she miss in her time away. Sometimes Alice thinks she missed a lifetime in the last two years she was away. ❛ I mean, if you want to tag along with us, you'll be welcomed. Maybe Luke could get more acquainted with you too. ❜ She shrugs her shoulders nonchalantly, noticing her car wasn't so far from where they were walking.

“Maybe in another life,” Elaine said. There was no way she was going to be bringing a child into this world with a massive target painted on her back because of what happened at the beach. Not to mention Elijah’s bitch aunt was on to her too and she had the feeling that sooner or later she was going to be sending someone to scare her or end her life, probably both at the same time so she had to be on high alert. “That’s insane, no offence!” Her eyes widened at what Alice revealed. “Amazing what the human body can do, specially by carrying another one,” she added and then smirked. “I’ll adop one, only if it has a cute tail, whiskers and purrs,” she smirked. “Cats are one of my weaknesess.”

❛ I know. It was also a bit scary at first too. ❜ At the very beginning of everything, things were pretty harsh to her, but thankfully she could be tough to handle the situation since she doesn't anyone to support her. Alice even had proof on her pictures that she was pregnant and not aware of it, and her body didn't change much in the first few months. ❛ Oh! Cats are adorable, I mean, who doesn't like cats? Don't you have a cat? ❜ For someone as busy as her, a cat could be a nice solution, they aren't as dependent as dogs. Dogs require more energy and dedication (not that raising cats didn't need dedication, however they were easy to handle). ❛ I'll only adopt one four-paw baby if Luke asks me one. I have a feeling this day is getting closer than I plan.❜ Her son is obsessed with animals.

Kamryn tilt his head a bit at her further suggestion, suspicious of what would make him actually need to find the few people who might collect stamps, in Miami, still. Inhaling then, he shift his gaze elsewhere. Though as she moved to search local places and replied to him, Kamryn’s attention returned to Alice once again “Really!” He answered at first. Kamryn laughed lightly “Oh. That makes sense.” Kamryn commented then.

He did not notice that she wasn’t paying attention to him, or consider that she was, seeing that she was looking at her phone. Though when she paused to ask him about his career he made a face “Oh. No! Ahahaa. I am just an ordinary book seller.” Kamryn shrugged then “Journalism’s kind of dead in the water these days…Not that selling physical books these days isn’t following behind…” He sighed reluctantly about it all. But he enjoyed his shop none the less.

“Aaah! AT least you are aware of the options! This could could terribly, or fantastically. Though that is the gamble one must risk with any relationship. Right?” He laughed breathy before letting Alice enter first, and then followed after her. Glancing around the place she lead them too “Oh, it certainly does look like it is.” He pointed out some people getting some drinks at a counter.

𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 focused on her phone because of the map, following the arrow from the App from Google Maps. For her, it was a surprise that some places changed during her time away. Somehow she feels being completely new in town, again. Even in some places, the traffic changed directions. ❛ Maybe I could hit up, someday in at the Book store that you work.❜ She needs to buy some books for Luke either way. She was thinking in get books about animals and colors. Her son seems to be so obsessed with animals. ❛ Don't say it, I bet you're a good seller. ❜ Her guesses were distant in what he does for a living but one thing she guessed was something related to reading. ❛ Well, I supposed so. ❜ She now tugged her phone in her purse entering the establishment first, finding a place for them to stay and she found a table, giving full attention to him. ❛ I actually, was Googling which place is good for a drink, near where we were. I hope it doesn't disappoint me. But like you said it was good to take risks. I never gamble but I find it exciting. By the way if this place sucks, blame on the Google Preferred. ❜ She admitted.

Luke was adorable, his bashful demeanor causing Gisele’s smile to soften. “Nothing wrong with being shy at all. Hi, Luke!” Before she could scare him completely, Gisele rose back onto her feet and focused on Alice. “I’m doing well, thank you. Just couldn’t sleep tonight. I thought maybe some air or a walk might help with that,” she explained warmly. “How about you two? Are you having just as restless of a night?” She had yet to see Alice since returning, but it was a welcomed reunion. “So how does it feel to be back?”

𝐋𝐔𝐊𝐄 𝐒𝐍𝐔𝐆𝐆𝐋𝐄𝐃 on Alice's body, hiding his face on her neck, embracing her, and after a moment he looked at Gisele, before resting his head on her shoulder. The blonde could relate to that, the ability of not being able to sleep at night. She was glad to see her again, though, she was nervous about meeting everyone once more. ❛ We are. Luke is trying to adapt to changes, our apartment was a mess but now is almost ready, and the whole unpacking process reminds me never to change again. He also learned how to walk yesterday, he was crawling.❜ She smooths the back of her son, as he stayed quiet, blinking his eyes. ❛ A bit weird... When I left I had some plans. And during my time away, I had this... ❜ She points to her son. ❛ It wasn't on my plans but it happened so... My life changed. ❜ Alice feels like she owes an explanation for having her son for some close people in her circle of friends.

Elaine nodded. “Yeah, I totally get it,” she said. “I’m sure having a kid changes your life completely.” She thought about becoming a mother along time ago, when she was still with Elijah. Both discussed it in lenght and she kenw he adored kids. She still had her doubts because of her childhood but many times he told her that she would never be like her father. But it all changed with the divorce and a life in the Ivory Serpents was not compatible with having a baby, not while she was such a big name and now with a target on her back because of the disarter at the beach. “You always wanted kids?” she asked. “I did…for a time, but guess I’m just getting old. Kids are just too loud,” she smiled.

𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃 especially unplanned changes life completely. ❛ It does. And you learn to be a bit more selfless. ❜ Not that Alice wasn't selfless, but she had to postpone her career and some dreams for the moment, and focus on her child. She always wanted to have a child, even if she didn't have a husband or a partner, but not 'this early'. ❛ Yeah, I always wanted one day having kids, but not this early. I only found out I was pregnant of Luke when I was 5 months of pregnancy. I didn't have any symptoms like people says, also my tummy took some time to show up.❜ She sighs softly, taking a sip from her drink. ❛ You're too old, you still have a chance to have one or adoption if you want. ❜

“There’s no need for that Miss Martell nonesense,” Elaine said with a small smile. “It’s Elaine.” She knew she could come up as intimidating to everyone who knew about her and her rank in the Ivory Serpents but if you knew her as many others did, then you would realize that behind that hard exterior there was some kindness, deep inside. She did not like to get hurt, no one did and the unlucky ones to have done so ended at the bottom of her list. “You’ll have her numbers by tonight,” she said. “I’ll make sure of it. Where are you staying?” she asked. “House, apartment?”

𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐑𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆 to be polite and showing respect for her, she is like this to all people in general. ❛ Ah, sorry! Elaine. ❜ When the raven-haired woman corrected her, a faint blush on her cheeks due to that. She knew she's a woman well-respected in the Ivory Serpents, and does amazing on her job. She took another bite on her cake. ❛ I really appreciate it. ❜ In regards to getting the numbers of the possible babysitters. ❛ Apartment. It's easier to manage if you know what I meant. ❜ The blonde hardly had time to do housework (okay, she was lazy too, it didn't help) before had her son, now, with Luke, it was impossible for her to live in a house, even though it'd be better for her son.

Elijah chuckled softly as he shrugged, “Yeah, he wasn’t to happy to show up for new years this year and me have no room for a family gathering now that i leave in a one bedroom place.” His parents were mostly mad because they weren’t raised believing in divorce and neither were their children. They were raised to communicate and work through issues and well Elijah had proven yet again he forgot how he was raised. He grinned as he was given the chance to hold the little boy. He carefully carried him, holding him against his chest so the night breeze would wake him. He made sure his pacifier didn’t slip from his mouth so he wouldn’t wake up as they moved towards the car. “I hope you do take me up on it, I have two nephews i don’t get to see often so i would love to babysit. No charge at all.” He said softly as he looked at Alice. He spent so much time wanting to be a father that he always stepped up when anyone he knew needed help with kids. “Even if it is just so you could get a peaceful nap in.” He said honestly, he knew being a lawyer for the Serpents was a very busy job, plus he wanted to make sure she was holding up fine after how many times she saved his ass it was the least he could do.

𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐃 her arms, it was a relief for a few moments without carrying her sleeping son, holding his Chewbacca toy in her hand, while she walked by his side. ❛ At the least, your parents come to visit you, mine don't give two fucks. I'm not their favorite child. And I think they don't really care about Luke. ❜ She sneaked peaked on her son, in deep sleep on Elijah's arms. She laughs softly, seeing him carrying her son because he was too big, holding a very small human being. ❛ I will don't worry. Luke may not be your nephew but I'm sure he'll love to visit you. I'll forewarn you, at first contacts he's too shy, eventually, he gets a bit loose up. ❜ This is an issue at the daycare, there's always a session of cries when she drops him there and when she comes to pick him up. He is not used to seeing many different faces. First, because the blonde didn't have many friends, to begin with, secondly as she stated she has a complicated relationship with her parents, so she hardly visits her own family, when she does, they kept telling her that Luke was her biggest mistake as if she was teenager girl who got knocked up and ruined her life, even more, because of his biological father who bailed on her since the pregnancy, also she never had a steady partner. Working with Ivory Serpents keeps her quite busy. ❛ I don't even know what is nap anymore, I wonder if it is to chew! ❜ She jokes. ❛ I'm planning to go surfing on the weekend and try to teach him how to surf. Do you think the beach here is 'safe'? ❜

Gisele was a night owl, through and through. She didn’t venture outside too often at night, as she knew just how dangerous the city truly was. Untouchable or not, she needed to be careful. However, after tossing and turning she’d grown restless and decided maybe some fresh air would do her good. The park wasn’t somewhere she went often, but while passing she caught sight of one of her fellow Serpents. As Luke barreled into her, Gisele laughed it off warmly, hoping to catch his fall. “Luke, right?” she greeted the boy with a smile as she knelt down to his level, then let her gaze rise to meet Alice’s. “No worries at all. Just realized it was you and I thought I’d see what you guys were up to this late.”

𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐀 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 owl, since she had her son, her schedule was a bit fucked up. There are days Luke is a handful to tug him in bed. Today was one of these days. Not even a car driving made this baby sleep. She crouched down and pulling him up faster before he cries, and he stands on his feet looking at Gisele. ❛ Yes, he is. ❜ As she straightens herself in a posture when her son, hides behind her due to his shyness. It was weird being back after two years away in another state. ❛ Say, 'Hi' Luke! He's really shy. He doesn't speak much yet. ❜ She picks him up in her arms. ❛ Hello, Gisele. How're you doing? ❜

As she corrected him on who all didn’t collect stamps he grinned and looked around “Well. I’ve not met anyone. But I guess that would make sense.” Though it felt like it was a rather uncommon interest for people. He gave a shrug however “Guess I should probably spread out and find more friends.” It seemed that this woman was a fresh new face around here. Clearing his throat Kamryn tilt his head to one side, turning his eyes to the side as he thought to himself for a moment.

“Oh! Oh. Well, I am happy to have been more creative than others in the past! I love to read though. So I’m very big into Wonderland Lore.” Kamryn revealed. Of course, why would he own a bookshop and not enjoy reading! Or, even, have a vast amount of books under his belt. Just because his job as an undercover agent was the more important of the two he was currently doing. Did not make the shop he owned, a lie. But it was however a very authentic cover. He walked with her then.

Kamryn squints a little “Only just having met each other and we are already getting into inner circle jokes. I think we could make for good friends at this rate!” He commented playfully. Listening then to the last thing she had to say “Oh yeah?”

𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐊𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐀 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍 who collects stamps, it was her old brother. She chuckled, shaking her head. ❛ Maybe you should. ❜ She picked up her iPhone, opening the maps to know where is the nearby place to get a drink, following the instructions of her phone while walking by his side. ❛ Oh, really? I like Alice in Wonderland too. It's one of my favorites and the reason why my mother put this name on me. ❜ She shrugs, looking around on the streets, and checks on her phone map, although she seemed that wasn't paying attention to him, she was except she is trying to get acquainted with the places. ❛ What are you, a writer? Journalist? ❜ She tries to guess as she cocked her head to his side, with a sympathetic smile on her face. ❛ You're right. We could make a good friend or terrible the more we know about each other. ❜ This is when she stops the tracks turned her heels to the place she found to get a drink. ❛ I think it is this place. ❜ She pulls the door, entering there, taking a good glance around.

Elijah couldn’t help but smile at the little one fighting sleep, he knew he was close to falling as sleep though. His little eyes looked tired enough. “Don’t worry, it’s not bad memories. He is just angry, I never told him I got divorced.” He said honestly, after signing the papers Elijah just moved on. He didn’t tell anyone, they all found out throw Elaine or someone else. He nodded in understanding, a baby was something you couldn’t trust just anyone with. “Well I got a lot of good references, if you ever want to check them out.” He said with a soft smile, even though he had a cold exterior Elijah was very warm when it came to children. He smiled and was gonna give the little one a high five when he noticed he was sleeping, “That’s awesome, from what my sister tells me they tire out faster when they walked instead of crawl so maybe he will sleep tonight.” He tried to give her some hope. He nodded softly, “Did you drive? I can help you carry him back to your car or if you walked I can help you carry him home.” Elijah knew things were tense around the streets right now, he wouldn’t want her or the baby to be alone so late.

𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀 𝐁𝐈𝐓 surprised when he told her, he hasn't warned his father about the divorce. ❛ Well, shit. ❜ She did not know what else to say in regards to that. Who is she to judge? Nobody. ---- Finding someone she trusts, isn't easy. She lives in a constant fear in lose her son due to her work... Despite her son being unplanned, undesired (she always wanted to have a baby but not now), and ruin a bit her professional career, she found unconditional love she never thought she'd have one day. Luke was fussing a bit on her arms, but entering on deep sleep, his mouth was slightly agape and his pacifier slides a bit from his mouth, and he dropped his toy, Chewbacca, Alice had to stop her tracks. ❛ Hm. In that case, I'll count on you. ❜ Apparently, Elijah seems to like children, it was rare for her to meet men who like children, at the least, to her on her group of friends. ❛ Really? I hope this is true. We will see. ❜ The blonde was truly counting in get on her bed and have a decent night to sleep, without Luke waking her up. He normally hasn't bothered her through the night, but this period of 'moving' was hard. ❛ I came driving, but my car is far away from here. Hold him. ❜ She handing Luke gingerly to Elijah's carry, once she did it she grab the toy from the floor.

“I know a few people that would be happy to help you with him, love,” Elaine said. “Some sisters of Serpent members, of course”, she added in a whisper. “They are completely trustworthy, but at the end of the day, you are the mom and you know who you can trust with your little Jedi boy,” she smiled. Her own mom had been able to take care of both of her children but some didn’t have the chance, like Alice. “Don’t look at me because I’m bad with kids,” she smirked.

𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐓 Elaine when she whispers finding a solution to help her when she can't give her son proper attention due to her work. Nowadays, she tries not to get overworked because she doesn't want to be a mother completely absent from her son's life, it wasn't fair to him. However, having somebody she could trust with, giving a little extra hand, when she is busy it'd be easy for her. It was hard to find someone who is possible to trust these days. ❛ I'd like to have their numbers, and thanks Ms. Martell. ❜ She took a sip from her Italian soda before started to eat her own cheesecake.

“Probably that’s why,” Elaine smiled. “People used to think that we finished each other sentences or that we have like super powers that allow us to comunicate with each other, but truth is that most of the time I don’t know what my twin is thinking, and that’s a good thing because I wouldn’t like to be in inside his head,” she laughed. “My mother would have been a sweetie, but my father, that’s another story entirely,” Elaine sighed. “So, I take it that little Skywalker is being taken care of my someone? I mean, since you’re here.”

I mean, he is on the daycare right now. But I'll pick him up when I finish with my things. I don't have a nanny yet. ❜ She made a search before move out to seek a good daycare close to her small apartment, and enrolled her son.

Vince went out for a daily walk, something to help her clear her head. After indulging in lovesick people, she needed a break from love-sick adults. Grabbing a juice at Boba Hive, she walked towards the park, the sounds of children screaming and laughing playfully. Truthfully, she never saw herself having a kid, but she couldn’t deny how adorable kids are - and how infectious a child’s laugh is. Though as she made her way towards an empty bench, a kid bumped into her and fell. By the time Vince could lean down to help the poor boy up, his mother was by his side, helping him up.

“No worries! He was just having fun. I just hope he’s okay.” She said sincerely, offering the stranger a smile.

𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐇𝐄𝐑 son up on her arms while he began to cry. ❛ Mama! ❜ Luke said between the tears, and she smooths his back, calming his nerves and he cuddled on her arms. ❛ He's fine, he's just tired and sleepy. ❜ She leans to a bit to pick up the Chewbacca toy on the floor and handing it to him, he held it.
