“I’m fine, Clarke checked me it was just the heat she thinks. Maybe I drank too much last night,” she muttered, she didn’t actually drink. “You think they’ll rescue the others anytime soon? Or do you think it’s gonna take a crisis and level six tantrum from somebody?”
“ You kids shouldn’t be drinking at all, “ she murmured, though she knew she really couldn’t do much about it. The kids were practically in charge now and she’d spent enough time with them that she was one of the few that knew the kids knew what they were doing, and what they were talking about. She lowered her hand back down into her lap, “ It’ll probably take you hog tying them and putting a gun to their head before they even considered, I’m sorry to say. “ She said, wishing she could put a say in for the kids, but she was considered more of one of the kids by this point, than one of the adults. Her voice wouldn’t have mattered even if they were on the Ark still.
"Probably not, we're all morons the second we swallow it. The nuts however were worse," she laughed. She felt a twinge of sadness thinking of her brothers. Alice shook her head and smirked.
"Nah. Trust me, there's another way. When Clarke finds out about Kane's little power trip and shock lashings. And she shoves her foot so far up his ass he'll do anything she says. Then bing, bang, boom the others are safe and the weird vampire type mole people are dead."

“I’m feeling fine? Why wouldn’t I be fine Mrs. Blake?” Alice asked brow furrowing as she continued to scrub the clothes in front of her against the washboard. She’d only talked Aurora once since the woman had been put in charge of the delinquents well being. She wonder if something was up causing the weird visit. “Is something wrong ma'am?”
“ I thought I saw you puking this morning.. “ she mumbled, mostly to herself at this point as she raised the back of her hand to the girl’s forehead. She was spared her life on the Ark, but was sent down with the kids when the time came to determine if Earth was livable or not. The counsel decided that the kids would need some sort of guidance in living with each other and decided that since Aurora was locked up anyways, that she should be the one to go down with them. Which clearly only helped with keeping things sterile or patching clothes, the kids ( mostly her son and Clarke ) didn’t seem to need the guidance, and instead stepped up for themselves to create a well working mini-city of their own.

-CLOSED STARTER-
“ Alice – Honey, “ Aurora practically cooed, meeting the girl by her side. “ Are you feeling okay? “

“Who else would be since you run everyone else off?”
“I don’t know what i thought, it may have been more of a hope. I’m just going to go back upstairs okay?”
“I didn’t know you were babysitting tonight.” She whispered.

ALICE ROOSEVELT WAS HARDCORE. “She was known as a rule-breaker in an era when women were under great pressure to conform. The American public noticed many of her exploits. She smoked cigarettes in public, swore at officials, rode in cars with men, stayed out late partying, kept a pet snake named Emily Spinach (Emily as in her spinster aunt and Spinach for its green color) in the White House, and was seen placing bets with a bookie.
So what I’m reading here is, she was a Roosevelt?
Well I have a new hero.
Her whole wikipedia article is gold
“When her father was governor of New York, he and his wife proposed that Alice attend a conservative school for girls in New York City. Pulling out all the stops, Alice wrote, ‘If you send me I will humiliate you. I will do something that will shame you. I tell you I will.’”
“Her father took office in 1901 following the assassination of President William McKinley, Jr. in Buffalo (an event that she greeted with “sheer rapture.”)“
“During the cruise to Japan, Alice jumped into the ship’s pool fully clothed, and coaxed a congressman to join her in the water. (Years later Bobby Kennedy would chide her about the incident, saying it was outrageous for the time, to which the by-then-octogenarian Alice replied that it would only have been outrageous had she removed her clothes.”
“She was dressed in a blue wedding dress and dramatically cut the wedding cake with a sword (borrowed from a military aide attending the reception)”
“When it came time for the Roosevelt family to move out of the White House, Alice buried a Voodoo doll of the new First Lady, Nellie Taft, in the front yard.”
“Later, the Taft White House banned her from her former residence—the first but not the last administration to do so. During Woodrow Wilson’s administration (from which she was banned in 1916 for a bawdy joke at Wilson’s expense)…”
“As an example of her attitudes on race, in 1965 her African-American chauffeur and one of her best friends, Turner, was driving Alice to an appointment. During the trip, he pulled out in front of a taxi, and the driver got out and demanded to know of him, “What do you think you’re doing, you black bastard?” Turner took the insult calmly, but Alice did not and told the taxi driver, “He’s taking me to my destination, you white son of a bitch!”
“To Senator Joseph McCarthy, who had jokingly remarked at a party “Here’s my blind date. I am going to call you Alice”, she sarcastically said “Senator McCarthy, you are not going to call me Alice. The trashman and the policeman on my block call me Alice, but you may not.”
I love this woman.
WOMEN WHO NEED FUCKEN MOVIES.
I nominate Anna Kendrick to play her.
OMG fuck yes!!!!!!!
I don’t think people love me. I think they love versions of me I have spun for them, versions of me they have construed in their minds. The easy versions of me, the easy parts of me to love.

“He’s crazy as hell,” she nodded, she knew that. She’d known he was on the edge when she crawled into bed with him. Twins just shoved him violently over the edge. “Your the expert, but I’m not sure if I worry about it. I mean anyone under the amount of stress and just life beating the hell out of him. He’s also stopped going to his therapist, because her office is in their territory. He’s just down and probably a little bit drunk.”
“Why was he seeing a therapist?” Spencer asked. “Was it because of…the issues going on around you? I mean, I guess what I’m asking is…are you sure he only stopped going because of the office being in bad territory? Is there something that maybe he isn’t tell you, or that you’re not telling me?”
"He moved out of his dad's house, for a couple of reasons. And he decided that get therapy for one of them, it was good decision. That and being good friends with the kids targeted, not exactly the safest," she shrugged as her phone started sounded. "My brothers throwing a fit, is it okay for me to go?"

“It’s nothing, Jasper checks my phone all the time ,” she smiled think of her older brother antics, and how he felt the constant need to make sure he hadn’t ‘screwed up again.’ She handed over the phone open to she and Miller’s conversation. She wasn’t exactly an insanely private person, but she really hoped he didn’t scroll up to the more graphic conversations they’d had.
[inbox] hey u ok ally? [inbox] Ally? [inbox] Ally? [inbox] ally text me? [inbox] ally seriously. [inbox] ally are you okay? [inbox] you mad? [inbox] ally? [inbox] ally? [inbox] Alice? [inbox] Alice where are you. [inbox] Alice, if you don’t text me back I’m calling your mom and telling her everything thing about Monty, Myles and the babies. Your scaring me. [outbox] hey, I’m fine, I had my phone off. How are you babe :) [inbox] Alice do you have any idea how unsafe and worrying that is. To run off without telling someone where your going and turn off you phone. I heard Jasper tell you the Mounties are circling and desperate for something. It’s not safe. [outbox] I told Monty and Jasper where I was and I was doing something important. [inbox] 1. he didn’t know when I called and 2. Playing cards with Murphy on Lincoln’s floor is not important. [outbox] 1. That’s because they don’t like you 2. That’s only because you don’t like him.
“It’s not anything like that is it?” She asked quietly.
Spencer took the phone, turning it on and immediately going through the texts. He read over them quickly, frowning as he read the threats. While they weren’t major, Spencer thought that he could detect a hint of danger in each one. Just what the danger may have been, Spencer had no idea. is eyes averted from the phone to look up at her, shaking his head with a soft smile.
“I don’t think it is,” he said. “But I…I would still be careful and watch my back, just in case. Make sure your family is being looked after, too. We can’t…We don’t want to be too careful.”
"He's crazy as hell," she nodded, she knew that. She'd known he was on the edge when she crawled into bed with him. Twins just shoved him violently over the edge. “I don’t like surprises. At all. Just tell me.”
“Its a good surprise and I’m still not telling you.”
"Give me a little hint?"
