i went and grew up. i haven’t been on tumblr in so long, just logged on to see what’s up & the first ten posts reminded me why this site is so amazing. i love you all so much, thanks for being boss.
i miss my best friend.
reality.
so i recently ended up accidentally in a nightclub, aka $15 to walk through the door, outrageous drink prices & what not. i texted brett making the observation it's interesting that i am more comfortable amongst drug addicts, criminals & derelicts than i am people with nice clothes & expensive haircuts into which he responded "well that's because we have an actual grasp on reality." & i thought to myself...wow, what a relative word "reality" is. to these people that would look at my group of friends, who’s combined annual income is barely considered "middle class", who have no definite plans for the future, who don't gauge our success level based on traditional life accomplishments & deduct that we, "have no sense of reality." whilst my group of friends would look at these individuals, who spend $350 on bottle service, who conduct themselves in a manner unbecoming of genuine decency & also assume that they too, have "no sense of reality." your reality is based directly on your perception. i look at my own family & my brothers ~ all three of us have the same genetic bloodline, we were all raised more or less with the same ideologies, in the same home, with the same parents, attended the same grade school & so on...and yet...we all perceive "reality" differently. the two people i share a direct bloodline with & myself all view the world through different colored glasses, so how could i possibly expect my brothers & sisters of the world to view "reality" on the same level. everyone you meet is living their own story, you are a part of theirs as they are of yours, respect the story.
