Spiderkid Flag

Spiderkid is a role describing syskid and young system members who hold or carry trauma specifically related to organized extreme abuse. This can include any type of trauma and be from any type of abuse that falls under the category of organized abuse. (From the Pluralpedia page on Spiderkid (link))

Color Scheme: The colors are based off of the Cobalt Blue Tarantula. The reason for this is because Cobalt Blue Tarantulas are often perceived as aggressive and defensive, as well as difficult to care for. However, they deserve just as much respect and care as other animals.

Note: I am not the original coiner and the only other coiner I saw that had a flag for this role did not want non-trauma system supporters interacting, nor did they want their flags archived on Pluralpedia, so I took it upon myself to make a flag.

I've been having trouble finding terminology that would be fitting for my experience, something I"ve been experiencing on and off for a bit.

System Atrophy - A term for when a system's headmates revert back to or become fragments. This is similar to a System Collapse (link), but instead of a system losing a large amount of headmates, this involves a large amount of headmates becoming fragments.

This may be due to trauma or other stressors, alsothough some systems may experience periodic atrophies, as part of how their system functions.

After system atrophy, a system may feel hollow or empty. It is possible for alters to reform back to fully formed headmates again after an atrophy occurs. Some headmates may even change appearance and/or names after system atrophy and completely rebuild themselves from their previous form.

Related terms may be Cyclogenic and Cyclotien (link), but one does not have to fall under these terms to experience system atrophy.

Hollow System/Withered System - A term used to refer to a system that has gone through system atrophy and are affected by their loss of complexity.

This may result in more dissociation and feeling "hollow" or "withered," as if you're not wholly there. There may be identity confusion due to the resulting atrophy.

Variations of this term may be Hollow/Withered Sidesystem, Hollow/Withered Sisasystem, Hollow/Withered Hemisystem, Hollow/Withered Sparsystem, etc.
