I know I reblogged a post that alluded to this the other day, but it really tickles me that people read ASOIAF and/or Fire & Blood and think the Doctrine of Exceptionalism is like...facts and not just a piece of political bs drafted by Jaehaerys so he could legally fuck his sister.

I saw someone say the doctrine of exceptionalism was proof that GRRM was saying the Targaryens were closer to gods then men…like my brother in Christ Fire & Blood tell you right then and there that it was drafted up by Septon Barth and Jaehaerys as a piece of politicial and religious propaganda and had everything to do with keeping the dragons only in Targaryen hands 🤦‍♀️
