Sometimes I think about how for most of human history, we thought the Milky Way was all there was. Then, when telescopes and astronomy became more advanced, we realized that it's only one of many galaxies.

Then I think about how even though the Milky Way is one of many galaxies, the word "galaxy" comes from the Greek word "galaxias" which literally translates to "milky" and how the phrase Milky Way Galaxy is a Moon Moon of galactic proportions.

And then I think about aliens staring dumbfounded at humans and going "What do you mean you call it Milky Way Milky Way and the Andromeda Milky Way and the Whirlpool Milky Way and the Sombrero Milky Way? And if they're called Milky Ways why are they made of chocolate and caramel???"

very frustrating to realize that when some people see me talking about trans women being fetishized and the idea of a trans woman's value coming from her penis, they think I mean her value as a person, not her value as a sex object

a trans woman's penis is absolutely not thought to give her more value as a person, it's actually one of the main fucking things used as justification to treat her as subhuman. being valued as a sex toy does not mean being valued as a person this should be obvious

the arguments used to justify misogyny are post-hoc. the misogyny comes first and then people try to rationalize it. people don't walk around offering men more respect for logical reasons

even for people who do try to come up with rational justifications for their misogyny, such as through the myth of superior "male biology," the misogyny still came first. the flimsy justification is not the root. transmisogynists prattle on about trans women's "male biology" and yet their misogyny comes down on us the hardest

the post-hoc justifications for misogyny have always been bullshit. they are thin coats of paint over the top of misogyny to make it look rational
