Alien whump? Both on the human and alien side?
Alien whump…ooooooh~
Well, like, the classic thing is alien abduction, right? Aliens come along and snatch up your whumpee–it’s like a kidnapping, but scarier because the kidnapper isn’t even human. And then the whumpee is taken away not just from their home, but their home planet.
And along with abduction comes experimentation–there’s some pretty whumped up “abductee reports” that involve quasi-medical situations and needles and drawing blood and electrodes or sensors stuck on an abductee’s head or chest. Hit up Wikipedia for some details. But it’s not a known kind of medical procedure–so, more fear!
Aliens testing the limits of human endurance: heat, cold, the limits of bones and limbs, sleep deprivation, sensory deprivation, starvation, &c.
And of course being held captive by the aliens. If they’re the sleek-and-sophisticated type of aliens, this could involve being kept in a glass box or cell, or energy-based restraints, or psychic restraints.
Beyond all this, there’s the whumpee being unable to understand or communicate with the aliens–maybe they don’t even speak, they’re all just telepathic. So the whumpee is helpless in trying to negotiate or explain anything to them.
Related to this, if you have psychic aliens, they can invade your human whumpee’s mind and see their most private thoughts and memories, or maybe they can plant thoughts or memories, or maybe they can cause physical pain through these kinds of invasions. Why use a whip when you can just cause the pain?
Like, seriously: psychic aliens could fuck someone up.
Human slaves. I mean, why not? Catch humans, make them do hard work or maybe use them for entertainment, punish them when they are bad.
Human zoos. Catch some humans, put them on display–like zoo animals. (Yes, this is a bit Planet of the Apes, but I’m not going to apologize.)
Judgmental aliens. This sounds a bit weird, but it’s more mental/emotional whump. The aliens consider themselves so vastly superior that they just constantly put down and insult and berate their human captives. “You’re just meat. How did you launch one of your kind into space?”
Humans caught in the middle of an alien vs. alien war. That’s a rock and a hard place, wow. And the humans keep getting captured and tortured and used as pawns, one side against the other.
Aftermath! The abducted human whumpee is dumped back on earth and no one believes what happened to them. But they’re traumatized and have bad dreams and flashbacks. They’re afraid of being alone, afraid of the dark, &c.
And they could have injuries left over from their captivity that might need treating–maybe even weird injuries (burns in geometric patterns, for instance).
Maybe the process of traveling with the aliens was really painful (for whatever reason–maybe something to do with dimensions or time-travel).
Maybe they don’t remember what happened to them while abducted until they start getting flashbacks. Maybe their memories were even altered.
Maybe way, way more time has passed on earth than they thought and everything has changed, but they haven’t. (See: Flight of the Navigator.)
Maybe they have alien technology inserted into their bodies–whether it’s for tracking or monitoring or some other kind of experiment. But there’s something in them and that’s fucking terrifying. Hell, maybe they’re actually partially robotic or cyborg and don’t even know it at first. And then they realize it…
Living human brains in robot bodies, or maybe just trapped in jars. I’m just edging up to I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, really. (Recommended reading!)
But also! Caretaker aliens, like Aunt Beast in A Wrinkle in Time. I love Aunt Beast.
So, now, on the alien side: “Alien Autopsy” sure was a thing back in the 90s–so why not “Alien Vivisection”?
Aliens crash (or land) their spacecraft and are captured by the military/scientists/&c and (naturally) get experimented upon. This can be very traumatic for aliens sent on a mission of peace.
Just flip any experiments aliens would conduct on humans and apply them to the aliens: blood draws, dissection, surgery, testing their limits, &c.
Aliens in captivity where the humans have no idea how to take care of them, leaving them dangerously close to death (not enough oxygen, or water, or they need a certain kind of food, or sunlight, &c).
Monstrous-looking aliens who are immediately regarded as dangerous and are hunted down. (Again, while they’re on a mission of peace.)
Monstrous-looking aliens who are fully capable of sophisticated culture and communication but who are still captured and kept like animals in cages, referred to as “it,” and treated like beasts.
Psychic aliens being forced to use their abilities–possibly even being used as weapons. Maybe they’re being forced through threats, or maybe they’ve been broken with punishments to do as they’re told.
Aliens being used as weapons that are then forced to harm others of their kind or other extraterrestrials–something totally abhorrent to them.
Aliens being forced to give up certain technological knowledge to the demanding and violent humans who have captured them. Good opportunities for torture.
Humans as the dangerous invaders of a peaceful planet, taking the aliens captive or torturing them in the name of “science.” Small bands of survivors hold out hope that they’ll just go away, but it’s not looking likely.
An alien ambassador held hostage by the violent humans in an attempt to force their planet to give in to the earthlings demands. Maybe this alien even gets roughed up or tortured a bit.
Human illnesses wiping out vast swaths of the population of another planet–it’s just a cold to humans, it’s death to the local ETs.
On that note: a human and an alien with an intense telepathic bond where when one hurts, the other hurts, and there are subsequent attempts to separate them (and it’s awful).
Cute aliens kept as pets by humans despite these aliens being at least as intelligent as humans.
Humans as “space orcs”: warlike, violent creatures who (unlike most intelligent life) will actually kill each other. No one wants to visit earth. There are lots of stories about what happens there (and some might be true).
I hope that gives you some inspiration, Nonny!
An alien sensing that one of the people who saved them has a problem with their arm. It’s nothing they can see, and the character seems to be somewhat protective of their arm, but still lets the alien investigate. The alien decides to cure it themselves with their magic, and bites right into the character’s arm. The character swats and yells at them and the alien releases with only four tiny wounds left to mark, but the alien can only wonder why they’re still hated even when doing the right thing.
Aliens come to Earth to abduct humans and various other species. However, the aliens are doing it to save Earth from an extinction level natural disaster headed our way. Too bad the aliens don't understand humanity's "strange sound based languages".
Kidnapped and experimented on by aliens but I was in the control group so nothing happened
consider this a dark monsterf*cker plotting call!! like this post and i’ll come to you to plot some stuff out, preferably to write on discord but i’m open to writing on here. below the cut are some monsters i’d love to write with and some plots, so bonus points for checking those out, especially if you give me some less common creatures/plots!!

I had a thought. Why don't we use Alien Abduction as horror any more? Why have we let the idea of beings who do not understand you taking you from your home, your family, your life, just so that they may use you, study you, explore you, become a joke? Why is this fundamentally horrifying and traumatic experience played for a laugh most of all now? And then I had idea on how this could be done as a movie: You film it in the first person. Let the audience become the main character. Let them see and experience (as much as possible anyway) what it's like to be in this position. To be in an unfamiliar environment. To be exposed and scared of what has happened, and what you may fear will happen. Let them see the others who have been captured such as you. Watch as the person who's eyes the audience is seeing through learn to communicate with these people, only to watch them be dragged away, never to be seen again. The numbers slowly dwindling, the bonds between the captured growing closer and closer until they're once again broken. Until only the audience is left. The "character" never speaks a word in this movie. They communicate with gestures, and then sign language taught to them by one of the abductees. Now why would I post this on a kink blog? Because I also had the idea that these aliens aren't so sinister. They're exiles and outcasts from their home, for being queer. They came to Earth and studied us. They learned of our concepts of sexuality and kink, and thought that they may share it with us. The other captured people? Various shades of kinksters and queer people whom the aliens studied. Who learned their lives were like their own, and sought to take them somewhere they may thrive as themselves. The scream that faintly echo throughout the movie? They aren't of pain, or at least not entirely. The sterile rooms with tables with straps and harnesses and odd-looking implements that you thought were torture devices? It's a dungeon, kept clean for safety. Why have the captured been striped of their clothing, left only with fetish wear? Because that's what the aliens thought people would like to wear in a space that doesn't constrain them. The reason people never come back after being taken away is because it's a quarantine to keep people safe from diseases, and to allow people to bond. When you finally get to leave that place, you meet all your friends again. But they're different. They're happier, healthier. Some even look different, having been allowed to transition in the ways they never could at home. The people you only ever saw crawl around are now floating in antigravity, or using mobility aids specially made for them. By the end of the whole experience, you've grown to love the people you are with, and yourself. You've discovered you're not the person you thought you may have been at home. And all because the aliens made a mistake and took you instead of your neighbour, who they had been watching. The first and only words spoken are simply Thank You. Because without this, you would have never discovered these wonderful people that you have grown so close to, have fallen in love with. You have found Home.
“What you don’t have an alien kink? *nervous laughter* me neither” *continued nervous laughter*
Al Feldstein, 1951.
This is the first part in something. I’m not sure what. I just watched a video about alien abduction and my brain went write whump so I dug up this old blog. More should be coming.
Content warning. Abduction, drugging (sort of), cursing, bright lights, passing out,Alien whump, lady whumpee no names yet
Whumpee is driving home from their mother’s. That meeting hadn’t gotten well. None of them ever did.
Stars were out in between the pines. Snow covered the frozen ground. The road has been thoroughly salted in preparation for the early January cold. In the light the forest may have been beautiful but the dark night hid it.
For some reason every hair on her body was straight up. Her eyes constantly scanning the darkness on the road sides. The occasional scuttle of animals almost caused her to swerve off the road.
“What’s wrong with you you’ve driven through this forest plenty of time,” She reminded herself.
Without warning her fuel tank suddenly turned out to be empty. The car wouldn’t move. She tried restarting the car. It still said empty.
“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me,” she got out of the car. Shivering in the cold. Breath visible. Gloved hands took out her phone. No service. She swore again.
Without warning the sky seemed to erupt with light. She looked up to see a giant disk of a weird metal block the stars.
Before she could do anything a giant beam of light blinded her. Her head spun faster than every before. Confusion stopped her actions. The light got even brighter and she lost conscious.
You thrash and scream as the tractor beam draws you into the belly of a low-flying spacecraft. A few feet away a strange alien creature watches from behind a control panel. As soon as the hatch beneath you is safely sealed, it presses a button and you fall to the floor, bouncing back onto your feet in an instant.
“WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME!? WHO ARE YOU!? WHAT ARE YOU!?” You scream, backing away from the alien creature.
It stands and strides towards you, it’s long legs crossing the distance between you in a few steps. You hastily sprint backwards, but your foot gets caught on a tube that runs the length of the spacecraft’s floor and you stumble onto your back. With no time to get on your feet, you curl up into a ball on the floor and grip your head in your arms.
There’s a pause.
And then a gentle touch on your cheek.
After a what feels like hours you hesitantly lower your arms and look up, meeting the alien’s gaze. It doesn’t look angry. It doesn’t look emotionless. Instead, you recognize a universal expression of awe.
It says something you do not understand, but the language sounds human. It says something again, and this time you can almost make out the meaning of a few words. Finally the alien says, “Do you understand me now?”
It can tell you understood. It smiles and attempts to caress your cheek again, causing you to retreat back into your arms. What sounds like laughter come from the creature promptly before it gathers you up into its solid arms. You try to pull away. The creature lets you struggle, but does not release you. After a few moments it gently restrains your thrashing limbs and turns you so that it’s gaze captivates yours. You see no sign of malice or cruelty in its eyes. In fact, you can almost see exuberant tears forming in the corners.
“My whole life I marveled at your beautiful world. I studied it. I watched it. I adored it. I always wanted to know what it’s like to touch it. Own it. Love it.” It smiles at you and a strange warmth travels up your spine. “One cannot study earth without focusing on your species. The human is knowledgeable. It knows the world around it and can manipulate it. The human is passionate. It reacts impulsively according to its emotions. The human is complex. It’s decisions and feelings very greatly over time. And yet the human is simple. Oh so very simple.”
It sits you down on the floor and squats in front of you, it’s massive figure towering over you. You will your legs to run but the creature has already caught you in a trance and you can’t tear your eyes away from it. It’s excited gaze prods your tiny mind for no other reason other than it’s own enjoyment and curiosity. You can’t tear your eyes away. Amazement overcomes your thoughts and drowns out your other emotions. You can’t think. You can only gaze. It extends its long fingers and cups your cheek. You subconsciously lean your head into its hand.
“Yes,” it finally whispers, “I’ve always wanted to touch the world. Own the world. Love the world.” Exuberance and an exhausted joy overcomes it’s features. “And now I finally can. With you.”
You have just been abducted by an alien race, only to discover that they only kidnapped you because they needed someone outside of their hive mind to be the dungeon master for their game of D&D.
“The aliens looked on with smug superiority as she inspected the borders of her enclosure, looking for an exit. They grew concerned, then panicked, as she drew elaborate patterns and eldritch symbols around one particular spot. She had no plan, but confounding them was such fun.” -QuietPineTrees
