People say Kate was waived to keep Chen and LA for positional reasons, but I always thought that Kate lost her spot to JJ. They're both 6 ft guards, JJ is who she would be competing with minutes for if she was kept on. But it really doesn't make sense to me to waive a player you've always praised as steady and ready to go, who would do whatever the team needs, in favor of a player who's not ready and didn't even join the team the year she was drafted because she prioritized focusing on Eurobasket over the team.

Still think it was positional needs tbh.

Have a feeling the sparks are gonna make a move soon bc Faigen was at the game last night so I think they are gonna try to move her into a DP role.

She’s also hurt still. Unlike the Valks who will waive you and not help you rehab after the waiving, LA seems to treat players more like humans than GSV.

Can they move Feagin to Kate's DP spot? It's only got 2 games left. I guess if she's injured it would be a way to keep her around the team for training and rehab while still giving her a stipend and covering housing...

The Sparks can’t move Faegin to Kate’s DP spot without signing her to the roster. We can’t really assume what the plan is for Faegin either as Pili was also at the game and have been at the games.

I hate that Natalie is letting JJ develop and saying she is "not ready" when Kate was perfectly ready to play for the Valks. She can play almost any position yet Natalie is developing JJ

This is so true. Their relationship is somewhat well-known to the X community but there are still deniers and because of how chronically offline they are, deniers use that to speak on their behalf. For example, VB being religious and how that insinuates that she can’t be gay. Or for Kate’s instance where her ex is a blondie so that is her standard. It’s messy out there, I typically just scroll through for basketball updates, but people can get super duper crazy.

I’ve seen a lot either from X or Instagram how V and K were only flings, even worse, just very friendly teammates. And it’s funny cause if you see K with her friends, she’s flirty with them but the moment she interacts with V (who they claim is just her close friend) she’s so robotic and dry.
