Mosaic glass and decorative plaques, 1st century B.C.E./C.E. The majority of the decorative panel motifs were widely used as decoration in Greek architecture, or in the wall paintings and stucco of the Roman period. Via Miho Museum Kyoto/ flickr.
two more hand-dyed skeins! i was going for a soft black/dark grey and i definitely achieved that, but i wasn't expecting the slight purplish tint! i think it adds extra dimension, especially with the tonal element kettle dyeing gives. i'll be using this as my warp yarn for a woven scarf, and the olive green tonal yarn i made the other day as the weft.
this is a better picture of the dark grey and the green skeins i dyed, in ball form you can really see the tonal variations and this picture shows the colours most accurate to how they look in person

If it were possible to place you in my brain to let you roam around in and out my thought waves you would never have to ask why do you love me? This morning as you slept I wanted to kiss you awake say I love you till your brain smiled and nodded yes this woman does love me. Each day the list grows filled with the things that are you things that make my heart jump yet words would sound strange become corny in utterance. In the morning when I wake I don’t look out my window to see if the sun is shining. I turn to you instead.
