Dear, look, I know that our first love means a lot to us and that, in our heart, they will always be special. But the deal is, to love someone, you don’t need to have got any previous experience at all. Love is not about it. Love is about being yourself and finding a mutual love. Love is about being honest. Not everyone is ready for a relationship, after all we are humans and we’ve got our limit and time. It’s like a “skinny love” that prevents the couple from experiencing a deeper connection, either physically or emotionally. But you know, love also means “respect for your partner’s boundaries”. I mean, the person you like may not be ready for a big change like this or a relationship,which means that you cannot force them to make any lasting decisions immediately. Trying to force something to happen is not the right thing to do, which is the opposite of relationship.You know, you can’t force someone not to want things or not to feel things; you can’t get inside someone else’s head or inside their heart. No matter what you try to plant in someone else’s heart, it just doesn’t matter. Love, it’s got to be organic and mutual and respectful. Being respectful is substantial, but in your case, for what you told me, your partner weren’t. If your partner really loved you with all his heart, then he would respect your limits and waited for the right time when you were ready to start a relationship. I know it’s not nice to hear or accept this, but that’s the truth. So dear, you’ve got to let him go and move on. I know it’s hard to move on but you have to. You can’t get stuck in the past, ‘cause you will have no future. You will have to let him go. Do not let him to be the anchor that will make you sink, let him to be the past that will make of you a stronger person in the future. Be patience. I’m sure that sooner or later you’re going to find someone very special and wonderful that will love you just the way you deserve to :)
