OCtober day 10 - wolfdog

#first off. i had to fight off the internal cringe demons so many times while working on this but its ok #second off. im going to ramble in the tags about this one instead of under a cut teehee #first off is the obvious. big canine = fafnir = symbol of saintsworship #aside from the fact that fafnir is a very looming thought on all the imanera pcs minds #fafnir as shorthand for religion also works well for azzie. and their reliance on religion often clouds their view of the world #however- it should be noted that fafnir is a wolf #and what i drew is modeled more after a wolfdog #wolfdogs are animals i pretty heavily associate with azzie specifically #wolfdogs have a lot of problems adapting to their environment because they are both too dog to be wolf and too wolf to be dog #they exhibit traits of domestic animals but are too high-energy and are often rehomed/abandoned/misunderstood because of that #while on the other hand they could never quite fit with a wolf pack either because theyre a man made hybrid #and are raised by humans most of the time. they dont pick up on the wolf social cues + etc #if you know azzie you see what im getting at.#finally- the flowers in the borders are modeled after asphodel #which symbolize death/mourning/regret #so. haha #wtpf #oc art #bweirdoctober2025
