I wanted to draw Drake a bit crazy looking, feral for some blood and in an interesting angle.

I accidentally deleted the post. I wanted to remove self reblog, but I ended up deleting in my insomniac state. Dang! I miss my boy! I haven't been drawing at all since January.

as someone who wishes people noticed my OCs more too, I feel you, don’t post if it gets you feeling down. but your art really is amazing and I had to say something.

Hey! Thank you so much! ❤️ I know I'm not the only one who struggles with getting traffic on OC art, many do. The reason I stopped posting is because it's so hard. When I feel that I'm slowly progressing, it comes to situation when traffic just starts to drop. I just feel bad, like I'm failing hard as an artist and there is nothing I can do, but sacrifice my art style and character designs.

i'd be pretty sad to see you stop posting your OC art but i also understand where you're coming from. you should prioritize your mental health, and thats hard to do as an artist online. that being said, i rly hope that someday i'll get to see more of your OCs story :) btw i knew you were latvian but i never realised Drake was as well?? Dreiks DZILNĪTIS? hahaha if this is the last fact i learn about him i guess its a good one. i hope good things come your way and that someday soon you get the attention and recognition you deserve <3

I love my OCs a lot, but seeing how much I struggle makes my depression worse. I been fighting hard to not let myself be sad, but it's hard when I feel defeated. I never decided what nationality I want Drake to be all these years, so why not give him mine XD I bit uncharacteristically patriotic decision form me, but I think it's cool. I wish! But I been posting online for so long and I gone nowhere. I can only blame myself for not drawing and being invested in the right things.

I think I will stop posting my own OCs online from now on. I get so much anxiety and my low self-esteem just keeps spiraling. As much as I would love others to love my own creations, it's not gonna happen outside those handful of people that care. At this point I constantly blame my skills or lack of appeal in my art. As a 35 year old who has been posting online for 20 years it's also made me emotionally exhausted that I never can succeed in any way. I see my peers and mutuals doing better than me and I constantly feel like I'm doing something wrong. I know there are a lot of artists who aren't bothered by likes and traffic and I envy them. I guess due to my mental issues I want to be validated and seen, but also be true to myself, but it's just not possible. If some of my OCs art seems like have normal amount of likes it's because I thought blazing will help, but surprise surprise it actually doesn't help. I sit in front of my wips nowadays and I wonder how it will impress others or how I can draw it to not make it look bad, will it get more than 30 likes. I just feel like I'm never good enough either in art or life. I'm very sad.

Drake and his older sister Tessa and Estella and her ex-partner Fariq. Not really character description per say, but stats and interests. Description will be later down the line.

Drake used to be this kind of super chill, friendly, a hippie type in a post-apocalyptic world that survived massive mammals (including humans) extinct due to virus. A world with most of it being in ruins, but the parts of the world that are being rebuilt are high functioning. Drake got into an accident, the whole subway station and metro lines got blown up by a terror act. He got badly injured. When people in my post apocalyptic world don't get regularly vaccinated they die. They become a pile of goo. It's like rabies, once symptoms appear it's too late. So Drake was just dying in the ruins of the metro train badly injured and trapped, but instead of turning into goo completely due to being there for too long without vaccine, he chrysalises, permanently turned into this human mutant. While physically he’s humanoid. The issues people have with him is that he could be unpredictable and still highly dangerous due to his abilities to do very little to inflict deadly damage, but because Drake’s sister is involved as major or special forces. He’s in a way free from grips of experiments and scientists, but now he’s under his sisters command and watchful eyes. He personally struggling with dissociation and cannot recognize himself, leading him to either misbehave, get in fights or be reckless. He's grumpy, annoyed, intrigued and being forced to do whatever special military force tells him to do or he gets back to an operation table.

Finally posting this after tweaking artwork more. Idk if I'm completely satisfied, but not every artwork can be 100%. I like the mouth part the most it was an artwork where I decided to make him have these types of canines.

I have a question! What does it mean to be a fullbody cyborg? I noticed that's what Fariq is. Does that mean he's not human?

Hey! :)) His full body is replaced by mechanical parts and the mind is transferred to cyber-brain. He's not an android, because android is a machine that looks humanoid while a cyborg is human with machine parts and soul.

So I've been looking at Drake art again and I want to ask, it looks like at least some of his art is progressive. By that I mean, you could order the images and piece his story together from them. Or am I tripping?
