Stillwater Marriage series Reconciliation AU in which Vander hands the reins to Silco on the way to prison, figuring it couldn’t go much worse. Silco deals with a slightly different set of challenges and they successfully navigate a reconciliation over the years. 70k words, separate chapters somewhat self-standing but as parts of a whole, written for Zaundads Bingo fan event but spread out after that, M and E rated.

Only Zaun’s Future is Ours to Be Changed Old Zaundads and young Vanco meet in the present through time travel and fight with one another and with Piltover. Also known as the One Where Jayce Talis Dies Offscreen After Being Punched by a Teenage Burglar. Explicit though mostly plotty. Angst and humour. 75k words, E rated. The Warlord, the Councillors and the Barman - in the s2ep7 AU, Ambessa visits Piltover just as in original canon. An exploration of this AU through Sevika, Zaundads, Ambessa and the kids. 43k words, E rated

You, who have nothing at all to believe in - Young Vander/ Silco from meeting to betrayal. Apparently pretty funny in places. This Young!Silco is sweet, feral and only approximately sane. 40k words, M rated, very shippy.

Jinx Is Missing - six months after Silco’s takeover, Ekko and the Firelights capture Jinx. Silco is as reasonable about it as you’d expect. Sevika makes some medical decisions. 8k words, T rated, gen with slight timebomb. Right Hand Woman - Sevika’s point of view on the first month or so of Jinx. 3.8k words, T rated, gen. No, I Have Not Had Enough - immediate post-canon in Zaun, with Sevika and Jinx. 4.4k words, T rated, gen. Needs and Wants Young Vander / Silco smut. 3.3k words, E. NTA Shortly after episode 3 and stung by criticism from Sevika, Silco posts on the reddit thread Am I The Asshole (AITA) to get an outside perspective. Lots of characters (mostly not tagged) chip in. Some of their responses say more about them than about the original poster. 1.1k, T-rated. I never thought you could love me like you used to Missing scene in episode 3, because we never thought Silco would give up trying to persuade Vander after one chat, did we? Or: when you meet your ex after a long time, and find old habits are hard to shake off. 1.8k, M rated. Perhaps We Were Friends, Before, In Zaun - Short fic thinking about Warwick being Vander and Silco in one body. 981 words, Gen, T rated.

Sevika before, during, and after some obligatory event as a councilor. It seems like there are so many - balls and performances and dinners and functions and all these things for the social dance. She's not bad at that, really, as Silco's right hand she had to have some grace, but she's tired and angry and all these assholes do is talk and talk and talk and getting action takes every last scrap of wit and will (which she, the last man standing, only has so much of - next to Vander and Silco who is she? Ekko leads the Firelights still. Even Jinx got her weird little following. She's just Sevika.)

truly the most important part of a tragic story is the constant tension/irresolution between "it didn't have to be this way" and "they couldn't have done anything else."

if it's just an externally imposed force driving the tragedy then it's not going to work for me. if it's a thing where the character could easily make Better Choices that would've fixed everything then it's not going to work for me. it has to be somewhere in between: where the combination of who the character(s) is/are and the shape the world takes combine in a way that is both inevitable and conditional, at the same time, to create the worst possible ending.

My headcanon: Felicia helped Silco make those Molotov cocktails before the Day of Ash. A love for explosives runs in that family. Vander's perspective on the Day of Ash is, approximately, "we organised a protest and let people bring their kids along, and some idiot lobbed a Molotov cocktail so of course it turned nasty. If you have the sort of Enforcers who definitely won't fire on protestors even when the protestors throw Molotov cocktails at them, you probably shouldn't be throwing Molotov cocktails at them anyway. We do not have that sort of Enforcer! That is part of the problem we have with Piltover! You dangerous fucking idiot!" I mean, I love Silco but... that was a decision (I say as a parent and someone with a smattering of knowledge about how protests work. Bringing kids to a peaceful protest is a very different thing to bringing them to a violent one). Vander brought his gauntlets along in case of trouble, but there's a few steps from there to starting trouble. Meanwhile, Silco thought he might be killed and was fine with that, but he completely misjudged the extent to which other Zaunites would be hurt. And he knew Felicia wouldn't blame him for what happened, or want them to stop fighting. He might have felt somewhat guilty in time, if events hadn't overtaken him, but then Vander broke him and he locked in tight to the "some damage on our side is inevitable and worth it" attitude (see: his reaction to Renni's kid being killed). The alternative, and any real mental processing of the deaths of Felicia and the others, was intolerable to him — at least without Vander's help.

One reason I don't think Silco found Vander's letter in the s2ep7 AU is that, if Silco had been around in a parental role, I don't think the kids would have been doing aimless heists without adult involvement.

They might have been doing much more violent and criminal activities, but they would have been better planned and somewhat supervised.

"Silco had swaggered theatrically into the bar one evening, a stranger with a notched, well-used-looking knife in one hand and a crew of very large supporters at his back. Vander had fallen to his knees at his feet and burst into tears. Which had evidently surprised Silco very much indeed. He had stood in the bar with Vander's arms around his thighs, holding the knife as if he'd forgotten it and staring blankly into space. Everything had gone absolutely silent, except for the horrible sound of Vander sobbing. It had felt like a very long time until Silco's other hand, the one not holding the knife, had reached out and tentatively touched Vander's hair.

After that Silco and his crew had been in and out of the bar all the time. The Enforcers had come to the Lanes again, and he'd sent Shimmer-monsters to drive them out, and Vander had just seemed grateful. A week later Mylo had caught Vander kissing Silco on the stairs, and after that Silco had been around for breakfast, too."
