STUDIO PROJECT 2:

For my design projects assessment two chocolate packaging I had decided to go with an alcoholic chocolate, along with this I had the idea of creating a design that wouldn’t typically be paired with something so mature.

The idea of pastel coloured hand drawn alcohol bottles on a bright pink background was instant thought, not usually something drawn to by adults, but would still remain fun, quirky, cute and interesting.

My other repetitive pattern idea was too cliche and obvious, a vintage swirled pattern id hand drawn, something you’d typically find on old wallpapers or rugs, and although this could have tied in perfectly with the old whisky theme, I felt it wasn’t unique.

My brand name is obvious, “chocoliquor”, but still finds itself suitable and simple. The typography was vectored and “perfected” to resemble calligraphy, I imagined by making the type this form, it would introduce more maturity into the packaging design, to help lead it astray from looking like something children could consume.
