kasiah crinkled her nose, shaking her head. “i wouldn’t be wasting it. it’d be for a good use!” she assured, smiling. “i can just start experimenting with less of it, it’ll be fine.”
alissa frowned, but it was a softer version of her usual scowls. “but your experiments mean so much to you. don’t waste dust you could be using for those on me.”

“But I like her!!” Dizzy said, holding the fox closer. “Besides, she followed me and everything, can’t I keep her?? Pleeeease?”
alissa sighed, looking down at both dizzy and the fox. “...take it to a vet first, then we’ll see.”

zorro didn’t know what to think and clicked on a link. “has this happened to you before?” he frowned a little. “and uhm, thank you.”
“not to me, but some of the servants back home had a bit of trouble with subscription mailing lists, so i had to help them out,” she said. “it’s fine.”

Chloe didn’t have time to try and deflect her sister’s magic, she was to fast and quickly Chloe found herself turned into the animal. Despite being a bat she still had her ability to talk. “Hey, this isn’t so bad. Dude this is actucally pretty awesome!” she enthused flying around the room carelessly.Â
alissa just rolled her eyes, heading over with the intention of grabbing her bat-sister and chucking her out the window. “which window has the most trees in front of it...”

“yeah, i was.” zorro frowned. “i don’t even rememebr subscribing. it’s weird.” he leaned back into the couch. “i wonder why …”
“well, i suppose it doesn’t matter either way. most emails like that have links where you can unsubscribe,” she said. “just do that and you should be right as rain.”

Chloe pouted in clear disappointment. “Lissy don’t do that.” she whined. “I can’t help it, I’m just a Joker.” she added trying to hold back a chuckle in the process.Â
alissa spun around, pointing her wand at chloe without a shred of remorse. “you might be, but i’m not, you will become a bat.”

alissa slammed her hands on her bench, and she was sure she’d almost broken her wand in the process. “i’m not kidding, chloe, if i hear another batman pun, i’m turning you into an actual bat and kicking you out.”

“well, i don’t see what i could possibly do about it,” alissa said. “so i assume you were talking to yourself over there. the real question is how you ended up subscribed in the first place.”

“Yeah well… good point.” he admitted with a shrug. “I think I’m pretty much past the point of changing how people see me though.” he replied. He was sure everyone just saw him as irresponsible anyway.Â
“not necessarily,” alissa said. “just because they think of you a certain way now doesn’t mean you can’t change it for the future. change requires effort, though.”

penelope understood it differently. “you can get me a house?!” she exclaimed, jaw-dropped. “okay, midnight –” she looked down at her wrist before she remembered she didn’t have a watch. too busy stuffing the money in her bag and every pocket available, she screeched at alissa: “WHAT’S THE TIME?”
alissa stared at penelope for a moment, trying to figure out if this stupidity was drizella’s genes at work. “it’s an expression. and even if i did transform something into a house for you, it would just return to whatever it used to be at midnight --” she cut herself off as the girl screeched, checking her watch. “one in the afternoon. you have eleven hours.”

kasiah gasped. “then, we could fly together!” she exclaimed, smiling at her girlfriend. “or, i mean, i could just give you some of pixie dust~”
“as much as i would love that, i wouldn’t want you to waste your pixie dust on me,” she said. “you need that.”

hearing the much lower amount, penelope opened her mouth with a: “hey –” until she stopped short at the amount of cash. the girl pratically dived towards it, holding the money in her hands with the brightest, happiest grin. “this is real, i can use it, right? i can use it, they won’t know the difference?!”
alissa had never seen anyone dive the way this girl had, and she took a step back to give her space. “should i get you and the money a room?” she asked, only half-joking. “yes, it’s real. just remember it’ll go back to normal by midnight.”

“figures. it’s the girls who don’t want the money that get it,” she sighed, curling a tendril of her hair around her finger. “hmm…” that was a good question. her grandmother had never taught her about money, only that she needed a lot. penelope narrowed her eyes. “a thousand dollars.”
alissa decided that saying she was only affluent because of her connections to cinderella wouldn’t be the best idea, so she kept quiet. she raised her wand as penelope told her the amount. “seven hundred and fifty.” muttering the magic words, she pointed the wand at the vase and watched as it turned into a couple stacks of cash.
