My parents are planning to celebrate their 50th anniversary and I’m stoked for them and and at the same time it’s never seemed to me like they enjoy each other that much, but what do I know and I have seen them have their moments. In any case whatever they have is definitely not something I’ve ever wanted. And yea look at me I successfully got old and dodged marriage. But then u also find someone who feels like they might make sense for you and they’ll just keep popping in your head forever. There’s maybe some hardcore programming that keeps the species goin or just my own mental pathology idk I still accept my chungus fate whatever it may be I do think it’s pretty cool to be me. I’ve seen my parents too so I know pathology doesn’t stop us from keeping the torch lit for the next gen and I guess we don’t gotta be perfect to do that. And the fact that our species is getting pretty cooked is a deterrent for many but it could also be a reason to try our best

he has to keep to the timetable and reach scheduled waypoints while obeying speed limits and stop the train very precisely at its designated station while also observing route protocols like sounding the horn prior to going under bridges and tunnels and sometimes commuters get jostled and look up from their newspapers all pissed off dude it seems like a high degree of difficulty also i just learned my brothers gonna have a baby its a girl :o

My boss can be a pretty good bully and I can’t understand it for the life of me but a lot of people seem to love it. Like one time I had a really challenging client that didn’t wanna consent to getting her teeth cleaned and I was kinda like, ok cool go on home. But my boss came in and just started talking mad shit to her and basically indicating that she was being a stupid bitch and it actually made me so uncomfortable I had to excuse myself for a moment. But when I came back she was all cool as a cucumber and let me do the cleaning. And then there was another girl- I was about to do the numbing and I look over and she was side eyeing the needle with the most concerned face I ever seen and it was just funny I couldn’t help but laughing. I didn’t mean to laugh at her per say but I guess I kinda did, but it was all good cause she started laughing too and that chilled her out considerably. and then she said that was the most numbest she ever got

i was watching a show about gorillas and the biggest one was making his case that he should be the leader of the group and he would periodically go on a tear and fuck shit up and scare everyone. and mr narrator said something like, he's NOT just being scary to scare them, he's actually making them feel safe by showing them how scary he is. and it made me think of my boss again whos actually a petite persian woman in her 60s but she can go apeshit scary to make people feel safe. is it really how it works that someone who could scare you the most might also put you most at ease. like how opposites are sometimes 2 different sides of the same exact thing

i used to play this game at university campus arcade where i grew up cause my parents worked there and we could just roam around like stray kids. at one point we had this 5 dollar bill that was slightly torn in just the right spot and we put it in the quarter machine and it would come back out but it would also give us 5 dollars worth of quarters. we called it the magic 5 and we kept it very secret and sacred and we'd harvest all the quarters every couple months lol. we played it kinda smart and never did get caught so it was a pretty lucrative money scheme though for us it was just a candy scheme cause we spent literally all of it on candy. actually my childhood was pretty sick and my parents caught a little flak for leaving us so unsupervised but they told me later they believed in giving kids enough space to do a little bit of bad cause that's the same space they need to develop their own volition to choose good and i think thats kinda cool. it definitely felt cool as a kid
