Littlest Fledgling

"Just because I'm the small, doesn't mean I'm the weak." Her name is Haylel, one of the many angels that live in Heaven under their Father's rule. She is one of the youngest and the smallest of the fledglings, along with being the sweetest. She has been sent to Earth to help it's citizens in anyway, as well as watch the humans that she admires so much. M!A: Nesting for 4 hrs. (Started: 530 pm) [Independet RP for an OC in Supernatural.]

  Adam ignored the girl’s questioning and kept his focus on the Demon in front of them, waiting for the creature to say or do something. “Answer me, dammit.” The blonde snapped at the female, letting his anger get the best of him.

The Demon let out a cackle and circled around Adam, running it’s hand down his face, before rearing it’s hand back and delivering a back hand that caused Adam’s head to snap to the side with a loud, painful smack. “Don’t speak unless spoken to, slave.” The female hissed into Adam’s ear, but deliberately loud so that the other girl could hear.

Adam tensed up at the word slave, having a good idea of why him and his cellmate had been kidnapped. “I will never become a slave to a Demon.” The blonde spat at the Demon, glaring at it fiercely.”

Haylel grew angry at the sight of the Demon hurting Adam. Sure, she had no idea who he was but no one deserved this. "Hey! Leave him alone. I thought it was the angels you scum had a problem with." If she couldn't defeat him, the least she could do was deter the Demon from the human to her.

So desperately did she want to break free and smite the demon but that was impossible. Her vessel was weak as was she. There was no way of attacking it and coming out alive.

  He should have expected her reaction, he wasn’t exactly the nicest person to the angels, but he had good reason. However, at the same time, he was trying to learn that they weren’t all the same. It wasn’t as if this one had killed him hundreds of times, or threatened his brother or himself. He listened along to her small bio and nodded. “You shouldn’t believe them. Angels, no offense, aren’t always right. I’ve learned, the hard way, that you have to learn for yourself, and that doesn’t make you stupid.”

He tilted his head “There has to be a reason you came here, do you regret it?” He wasn’t asking with a mean tone, it was actually unusually calm and possibly a little caring. It was probably her vessel, even though Dean knew angels were powerful, her vessel through him off. At the same time, she really did seem young, which meant she was just a child compared to most angels, and he had that soft spot for kids.

Haylel glanced up at him, giving a nod. "Of course there's a reason...I love the humans. I wanted to know more about them and just watch how they lived their lives. I don't regret my choice at all." She looked down at her hands. "I do miss my family, a little. But I truly doubt they miss me."

The fledgling pushed one of the brown curls from her face. "Like I said, I'm just a child compared to them. They don't care and all I have to say is good riddens to them. I would rather be with someone who does care than family who doesn't."

  Meg gawked for a few moments after Haylel had… obliterated the window. Bam. Just like that — no more window. Strangely enough, it didn’t upset the demon too much, anyhow; the car wasn’t even hers to begin with. More fun for the original owner of the thing.

“Don’t beat yourself up about it,” Meg replied casually before making her way to the trunk of the car where she unearthed the previously mentioned spraypaint, “I took care of your big bro Castiel back when he was off his rocker. Used to break things all the time.”

She let out a soft chuckle at the memories regarding those days, walking back to where Haylel was and opening the door for the girl,

“Can you walk?”

"Cassie was off of a rocker? Where did he get a chair like that in the first place?" Haylel questioned while slowly climbing from the car. The moment she slid from the seat, she nearly fell to the ground but by grabbing the door she managed to stay upright.

"Now where?"

  Nick laughed. “You’re right. I meant, I wasn’t aware there were angels as young as you now. I heard God left Heaven behind, so I figured angels weren’t born as often or at all.” God created angels, right? Angels didn’t reproduce like humans did. At least, he thought they didn’t. Angels were confusing.

"I was born before he left." She explained with a smile. "So, I suppose it makes more sense for you now..Now that you know that." Haylel scratched her neck with a sigh. "Any other questions?"

  “Yet you don’t jump at the chance to try and kill me,” Crowley pointed out, mildly confused. “Are you the angel of pacifism?”

  Sam’s jaw clenched as he looked upon the angel, his jacket still hung over her shoulders, could he really trust her? Bring her back to his room and let her stay there and the both of them be safe? “I don’t understand how you— Were you tossed down?” He asked mid question

"Not at first. I left Heaven to come to Earth but just as I returned to visit...I was tossed down. My wings g-gone my.." She cut herself off, looking at her hands. "I apologize."

  “And you… you think that we’re meant to be together? As soulmates?” The shock was noticeable in his voice, not because he disapproved of it all but he was surprised that someone- an angel, at that- was able to put so much faith in him so easily. “You’re a hundred percent positive?”

"Yes." She answered in a small voice, eyes dropping to her hands. "I'm absolutely positive but it's clear that you do not believe me in any way so we can just..forget the matter."

  Adam sat in silence, struggling to keep his eyes steadily in front of him. He gave a small nod as she spoke, and listened to her feet lightly hit the ground as she walked out, every step causing him to take small, sharp breaths in through his nose as he tried to remain composed. After she had left, he leaned back his head and released a large sigh before closing his eyes and falling asleep quickly into feverish dreams, composed of nightmares that he couldn’t seem to wake up from.

When daylight finally slipped through into his eyes and he woke up, Adam couldn’t bring himself to sit up, exhaustion still holding onto his brain.

Haylel was working with one of the soldiers across from Adam, helping him to gain some feeling back in his arm. The girl had a big smile on her face as she worked. Small giggles even came from her mouth. Clearly she was having a nice time and so was the soldier. He was staring at her most of the time or making little jokes to try and hit on her.

  It didn’t take too long for Meg to check into the motel, and yep, she did so without any stealing Not that it was particularly easy to steal a Motel room, anyhow — committing that sort of act was a sure fire way to look like a moron, or perhaps get arrested. Maybe both, who knows.

When the deed was complete and she’d obtained card… key… things for the motel room, Meg stepped outside, returning to the car where she saw Haylel resting. Fortunately, the fledging appeared to be unharmed.

Meg extended a hand, tapping on the window next to where Haylel sat. She then held up the cards in another hand, showcasing them for the other to see. Y’know, as evidence that the demon didn’t steal everything.

Where someone knocked on the window, Haylel jumped up form her rest and swung her arms. Her right arm hit the window and smashed it into pieces. "Oh no...I'm sorry."

She glanced to Meg then frowned. "I'm terrible."

  “I didn’t know there were angels as young as you.” Nick assumed angels were old—older than Haylel. The thought hadn’t even crossed his mind. “And strength doesn’t have to be physical. A strength could be your strong suit. Maybe your strength differs from theirs. Do angels have jobs or roles they’re born into?”

"Well of course we are this young. We all must grow up sometime." She pointed out with a large grin on her face, proud of herself for her answer. "Some, such as the cupids and archangels. It happens on occasion."

  He gave her a small smile, a bit saddened by the fact that it might really be lost. “It’s alright. Doesn’t really matter that much, might as well just make a new past, right?” He took one of her hands in his, giving it a light squeeze. “So this mate thing.. Can you explain it all to me?”

"I've tried to and everytime I do you get creeped out by it." She sighed. "Ever angel has a mate. Some might be other angels, demons, humans..Whatever. Your mate is basically your soulmate. The person you're meant to be with."

  Meg smirked, noting the silly response the fledgling gave. Must’ve been pretty exhausted to get all loony like that.

“Alrighty then.” Meg replied with a nod of her head, taking a step out of the vehicle, “Don’t go getting hurt while I’m gone. I’ll be back in a minute.”

With that, the woman made her way toward the lobby, which wasn’t too far from where she had parked the vehicle. Haylel would hopefully be alright until Meg returned — it’d only be about five or so minutes.

Luckily no sort of demon seemed to show up as Meg was gone. Haylel laid peacefully in the seat of the car and rested as well as she could. It was rather difficult to rest here seeing as it wasn't the most comfortable of spots but she was managing as best she could.

  Adam’s eyes widened, surprised at this ability. “Do you know anything from when I was younger.. Like who I was friends with, and all that?” This knowledge had slipped away from Adam when he escaped the Cage, and he hoped that it was still somewhere in his brain. If he was lucky, maybe Haylel was able to access it.

"A little. Most of it was about your time in the Cage though. Your past life was...a blur." Haylel answered in a cool tone. "I'm sorry..I wish I could help you more."

  As she finished up, Adam tried to remain as quiet as possible, still letting out the occasional groan or short shout. What he knew was only ten minutes felt like months. His fingernails dug into his palms as he tried to distract himself from the persisting pain. When she finished, he let out a shaky sigh of relief, feeling a sheet of exhaustion slowly wash over him. 

“D-do you have to leave?” he whispered quietly, his voice strained from his previous yells. “I mean, I’m sure I can rest without actually falling asleep. Doesn’t seem to hard..”

Haylel stopped, turning to face Adam with pursed lips. "The medicine I administered will make you go to sleep whether you wish to or not. So yes, I must leave." She responded.

"Perhaps I will see you tomorrow. But next time you might want to watch your tongue and the very words that escape it."  Nodding in a polite manner, she turned and walked from the room.

  “Well, look at that, a reasonable angel,” Crowley said with a quick laugh. “Are you sure you know me, love?”

"I know about you."

  Adam felt suddenly out of place, and guilt ran over him. “Hey, hey, you’re not stupid, Haylel, okay?” He placed a hand on her shoulder and squeezed it assuringly, trying to help her calm down. “It’s just I didn’t think that, well, that you really knew it all.” He paused, a clouded look coming over his features. “Do you really know… all of it?”

"Of course I do." She sighed. "Angels can since things about people just from touching them so when we kissed I automatically knew everything. That's why I plan to find Lucifer and Michael and kick both of them."

  “Nah, isn’t worth the effort of breaking into.” a grin showed up on Meg’s face as she turned to Haylel, “I was just thinking ahead about the whole spraypaint thing.”

The woman took a glance around the world outside of the vehicle, pausing for a moment before speaking to the fledgling once again. At that moment, she deeply considered storming out of the car while she got a room for the two of them. With the risks she’d just taken, however, she felt that doing so wouldn’t be completely wise.

“You want to come with me, or would you rather sit tight while I get a room?”

"I'll stay here." 

Haylel gave her an almost loopy smile. "You go, I stay." She curled up more in the seat of the car until her body almost resembled a small fall. Who know? When exhausted fledgling's actually acted like children.
