This sequence was so heartbreaking - when he stretches out his hand (and it shows how much trust he has in her, to do that in his demon form) and she doesn't move because the bracelet makes her be obsessed with that dude only and the way it's MS' worst nightmare come true, that his real self is so innately unlovable and terrifying and unworthy that even someone who looked like they'd be OK with it, can't hack it.

Ummm, if his tears can literally burn when he's in demon form, I hope they never ever have demon form sex because god knows what the rest of his fluids are capable of.

But joking aside, it's honestly devastating that even despite the bracelet she asserts she's not scared of him but since the bracelet won't let her go to him, to him it just looks like empty words. And his heartbreak at this betrayal.

tbh the fact that the show goes so hard with making miaomiao and yao be best friends is one of the things that makes it work so well, like it's not just about miaomiao and sheng, it's also about miaomiao being the first and best friend that yao has ever had and that being mutual as they both just adore one another and yao is so protective of miaomiao and she ships her and sheng so hard it's silly and the fact that in the original story yu was a false friend to yao just upsets miaomiao so much because yao needs a great friend and she can be that friend and it is so adorable and yeah.

Lately, Ding Yuxi has trended in weibo for his phenomenal acting in Love Game in Eastern Fantasy and people have started calling it "jinjiang style acting" for being able to portray the fancy and wordy description or narration jinjiang (JJWXC) novel authors use. For context, jjwxc is a chinese website for publishing novels.
