A Brother’s Love
Carson stayed quiet as he felt his sister’s words sting him but the physical shove not moving him an inch. The bottle was grabbed from his loose fingers as the oldest sibling took a calming breath. “Make your mistakes then Aliyah, go right ahead. Remember that i’m here when you’re ready to stop though. Good night”, He told her and was tempted to grab the bottle back and smash it in the sink. Instead he dug in his jacket pocket and took out a small figurine of a bird that he had gotten on his travels, made of stone and painted in bright colors. He placed the tiny gift on his sister’s dresser before leaving the room without another word.
When Carson took a deep, calming breath, Aliyah knew she’d fucked up. Big time. Angry still, more so at herself now, the teen ran a hand down her face, her eyes gazing coldly at her brother as he spoke.
“Finally! That’s all I’ve wanted, Carson!” Aliyah shouted at her brother when he finally gave her ‘permission’ to fuck up her life. Her temper quickly sobered when she watched her brother walk out - her heart willing her to call after him and apologise, but her stubborn head won out. Sighing, she slammed the door behind him before inspecting what he’d put on her dresser. It was stunning. But she still wasn’t apologising.
