all the sea things

i can't swim. i'm anchored somewhere in brazil, but miles away from the shores. i love the sea. not the sunny beaches, but the dark, dangerous, beautiful open ocean where the wild things are hidden. i think things were safer when the ocean was respected and feared. i'm sure mermaids and leviathans live down there. i know that every human has a connection with salt water - it's bigger than we can imagine. the ocean is our long lost home.

The full moon, silhouetted over the sea, showers the waves with silvery sparks. Sitting on a dune, watching the continuous ebb and flow, we each think our different thoughts. For me, the sea has always been a confidant, a friend which absorbs all you tell it without betraying your secrets, and always gives the best advice–a sound you can interpret as you wish.
