. I know that the culture of "learning channels" changes all the time, but Jee Whiz, it gets ridiculous at times. I happen to think it reflects how fucked we are as a culture of consumptive capitalism. Look at the fucking shows where rich, smug couples look for houses that cost more money than I could make if I ejaculated Troy ounces of gold after masturbation - I mean, why do lower-middle class women watch this shit? Half of the time it's in another goddamn country! We have a war brewing up right now (maybe more), everyone is fucking talking about Tom Brady and Caitlyn Jenner and some asshole on a sitcom about fantasy football who lied about almost dying in 9/11. And we're basically bought and sold by corporate overlords, and we fucking LOVE it to, because they marketed it so well. "Communism is the ultimate evil!", the head would say, and we wagged like a good little happy doggy tail, "WELL OF COURSE WE CAN'T LET COMMUNISM SPREAD! BOMB VIETNAM!". Yeah, the goal was to give them better lives. Agent Orange doesn't even get you high. Fuck it, Tom Brady is a cheater. Let's not dwell on the past... The NFL doesn't care about its own integrity, but it loves to push morality, and rightfully so - probably. But not suspending a cheater and suspending players for shit away from the field - bullshit. Of course I am referencing domestic violence. We can't be teaching the children of the world domestic violence is an option, not through an organized sport, anyways. Well, these kids have parents who grew up with the TV show 'COPS'. We know one way to handle a hussy who drinks the last Milwaukee's Best. And it isn't verbal assertiveness training. Plenty of worse shit has been done by NFL players. Hey, 'Merica? Remember when Ray Lewis killed a guy the night of the Super Bowl? Remember Donte Stallworth committing vehicular manslaughter while drunk and playing again? Remember Ben Rapistberger, Rapist Winston - Ohhh, how bout this? Chris Brown. That guy has been on fucking every TV show after beating up Rihanna three times, even performing on SNL twice. Which brings me back to educational TV. Are they trying to make us dumber? Yup, we are always fucking up and never learning in the USA. Is it the learning channels? It's sad in a way. Like how 'The Learning Channel' is all decorating shit and reality shows, or how 'A&E' has no real artistic value as the words comprising the channel's acronym would lead one to believe. You can't discover much of value on the 'Discovery' channel and 'National Geographic' is more interested in merely giving you the city where the freak lady who tingles at the thought of popping balloons with her ass lives, rather than more valuable world information. Whatever it is, we need to straighten our priorities. Yeah, a Roger Goodell is a fucking pederast dick fart, but come on, folks. We have problems, it ain't just football and 'Duck Dymasty'. Television is making it cool to be complacent with not being informed. It socially rewards those who don't waste time with learning, in the context of almost every viewing situation. Intelligence, even worse the display or sharing of intelligence - is fuel for mockery, fueled by peer pressure driven masses of people too tired and consumed with the stresses of a daily life designed to keep the majority of consumers and voters misinformed and disinformed and therefore pacified, when the fact is everyone but those cashing in on misery should be filled with absolute outrage. And the thing is, the question most would ask following that is, why? Why should I be outraged? Well, if you like to learn and you can either go a bit loopy or just flat out unemployed and sit back and pour over the dozens of patents for non-toxic cancer, HIV, Alzheimer's, etc... cures that are owned by our very government, and find out the stories behind the suppressed technologies in the field of combustion engines, and read the inane bureaucratic language of new legislation and see the insane things that get earmarked in, or go to the D.C. lobbyist registry and look up exactly how much each member of our government has taken from what corporation and when and you just get sick - there's no way this should be tolerated. But there's no way for people to see it when the Federal Reserve keeps devaluing our currency and making prices go up across the board on virtually every good we purchase as a necessity to thrive in this culture. The prices go up, but it's because the dollar is worth less and less because we print more and more money - but guess what? The Treasury doesn't print that money. The FED does, and then gives it to the treasury, on loan, with interest, which we have to pay back. The national debt isn't all to China. Most of what we owe as a country is to the FED, just for PRINTING FUCKING MONEY. And the 12 international banks that make up the ownership of the FED stay secret, to this day, since 1913. So if we all had this jobless time to read, we would be pissed. Because what do we want to leave behind? If people really knew the gravity of the situation, they'd revolt. Unfortunately, it's not even close to the collective consciousness. Then again, maybe I'm wrong, maybe people would see this and stay skeptical to protect themselves from what they don't want to hear, from the fact that 'my country tis of thee' and all those days in grade school pledging allegiance were simply indoctrination. Forcing us to believe in greatness, and maybe only some of us formulate our own opinions, and maybe those opinions are insane, it's possible, I guess. I fuckin' doubt it, but I guess it has to be statistically within the realm of probability. And yeah, my outlook is negative, but I'd argue that it is for a very good reason - things are fucked! I mean, did you read the shit above this?! I wasn't making that up! If I had said their is an extraterrestrial army of bigfoots under Denver International Airport, I'd deserve to have my ass kicked! But everything I said I'll fucking print out and highlight for anyone who wants it. A big problem is the TV. When I talk to someone who does get into "politics" (fuck politics) they usually watch CNN or MSNBC, hey - Republicunts aren't the only liars. People need to not shrink from intellectual discussion. They should be open to it, just to learn, even a without fear, without debating on a topic based on an opinion formed through zero research or knowledge of the subject. Propaganda does exist here, awareness of that perhaps might be the one single issue America must solve to start any positive change. Every problem can be solved by the willingness to believe in intellectual discussion, to discuss not for purpose of debate (it is human nature to look for the flaw in someones logic rather than listen for what they have right) but for the purpose of understanding and advancement. It is human tendency to be innately self-centered. But there are generation that will carry on past us, some of them children of friends and family - and we are humans, and past those faults of selfishness we have will. Especially combined, and especially united against rich, shriveled greedy assholes who hoard it all while the struggle for the middle class becomes third world shit. That won't happen right away, but should we leave it for generations down the line when any fucking person who isn't completely retarded can see the direction things are headed in terms of wealth disparity? It's literally worse than at any point of the Great Depression. We can over come this, and to get anything done cooperatively it takes commitment, patience and a belief in others, a belief in humanity. For those who work, it might take a little belief in a guy with a 162 IQ who might not have lived up to his potential and doesn't have a job but does have a passion and hasn't went a day without compulsively learning and reading, and learning more and etc... Maybe a lot of us are seeing all the shitty shit and bad news on TV and humanity is becoming hard to believe in. Maybe humans are shitty. Maybe it's terrorism. Whatever it is, we need to try harder, regardless. We might need to listen to the acid heads, the litigious take-no-shit types, who call the attorney general over phishing emails. They might know what they're doing. Or not. Who gives a shit, right?
