All about Last Night...
I was waiting for the office Christmas Party for long and was extra excited because this year it was at Ritz Carlton. The theme was Paris/ Moulin Rouge, so I finalized my design to an ankle length circle skirt as there was dancing involved and paired it up with a chic backless black full sleeved bodysuit.
I loved the fury-esque texture of the skirt which speaks winter. The little briefcase purse says “touristy”. My inspirations are mostly from Pinterest and Instagram but recently someone recommended Polyvore to me and now its added to the list.
I always learn something new with every design and this time I finally learnt how to sew an invisible zipper... yaaayyyyy!!
Let me know how you like this look and stay tuned as there is a lot more to come. :):):)

All About TIFF weekend
This week was the start of TIFF, Toronto International Film Festival, one of most famous film fests in the world. I was lucky enough to catch the premiere of A death in the gunj by Konkana Sen Sharma, who was also present with her crew for the film’s showcase. Do watch it if you get a chance. It is the opening movie of the MAMI, Mumbai Film Fest 2016.
Now let’s talk about the dress I made. Fall is almost here and we are all savoring the last few days of summer, so I want to make a dress with a fun colorful print. I added a chiffon cover-up just to balance the wild colors of the print and finally the hot pink felt flowers to get the two interact with each other. The long sleeves keep you warm and short length keeps you cool. The dress is bodycon and the cover up is quite flared, so its perfect for a cloudy/windy day.
It is time for fall colors. So next post is gonna be “All About FALL”. Thanks for reading. Stay tuned.
All about the first shoot ...
Hi Guys,
I am very excited about this particular blog post because this was my kinda first collab with Lucy, who is one of the most talented and active people I know here in Toronto.
I am clueless about posing, I was just goofing around, so if you like the pictures, its all Lucy. So to start the shoot we found this beautiful shutter background at Union Station, which is so much better at night with all the colorful lights. Then we moved to the Harbour Front, soooooo beautiful with the ships, the yachts, the kayaks and the plane . It has become one of my favorite spots in Toronto.
Now about the dress, the skirt is inspired from a car wash pleat that I saw in Pinterest. I draw most of my inspirations from there and Instagram. I must say this was a tricky skirt to make.
First I was going to make a long skirt, then I made it above the knee length. It started of as a normal skirt with a zipper or an elastic, then ended up being a wrap around skirt (because I am so bad fixing invisible zippers). Its a mix of mix cotton and mesh fabric and underneath I am wearing a cute pair of high waisted nautical shorts from Ardene.
A lot more to come, stay tuned.
All About Romantic Hues
Hey everyone,
So this post is all about my take on making a romantic outfit. The first reason I created this top was to match with the chandelier earrings my husband got me. And the second reason was that I am such a fan of wearing a coat or blazer without the hands actually inside the sleeves. I don’t know the exact term for it. so if anybody knows it, kindly let me know in the comments below.
According to the fashion forecast, hues of blue and red are going to rule the coming season. I am soooooo excited as I really love all the colors ranging from powder blue to cherry red.
So please stay tuned.... there is a lot more to come.
