A lot of true crime lovers have heard of the infamous boy in the box that has gone on sought for 60 years with no leads and no information, lIke any investigation journalists I'm her to bring you all the facts and details
On February of 1957 a muskrat hunter was checking his traps when he found a cardboard box and to his horrific discovery he found a lifeless young boy at the age of 3-6 years old horribly disregarded on the side of a highway naked with only a blanket covering his body and his poor body mutilated. Unfortunately he did not tell anyone in fear of being arrested as muskrat hunting was illegal. The poor young boys body wasn't found until days later.
the poor soul didn't just suffer a horrible death but also a horrible life he was found malnourished, with bruises covering his body and had scars on his chin ankle and groin. It was found that his hair had been cut before his death as clumps of it still clung to his skin which to me is questionable, was it to hide his identity, or to get rid of DNA that the murder possibly left. His cause of death is listed as blunt force trauma. Police finger printed the boy in hope of finding out who this young john doe was and when they turned up empty handed they passed out flyers in hopes of any information or parents that were searching for there little boy but it turns out no one had any information and that his parents didn't care or miss the young child. As police investigated the crime scene leaving no rock unturned each lead came up a dead end, they even searched through hospital medical files as the scar on the boys chin would've caused him to end up in the infirmary but that was also a dead end, it seemed the police just couldn't get ahead of this investigation. Sadly the investigation remains a worlds mystery. The only person to know who murdered the poor boy is the killer themselves.
Like any mystery there are some theories as to what happened to the unknown boy
1. They boy was the product of a father horrendous acts against his stepdaughter who he later married after his wifes death and that the boys death was accidental. The man ran a foster home and oddly enough there are some coincidence that are linked to this case . Police inquired the foster home about the boy and found blankets that looked like the one the young boy was wrapped in and not only that but they found a bassinet box like the box the boy was found in. Sadly there was no link to this theory and the boys death. It was found that the step-daughter did have a son that also died but it was not the unknown john doe
2. 40 years later a women by the allies of "M" spoke up and said the boy was purchased by her abusive mother she said he was mistreated for several years, "M" stated that after dinner one night the boy threw up his beans to which the women bashed his head against a wall and as the women gave the young child a bath he succumbed to his injuries the police did follow up with this lead as some details "M" said was correct and not released to the public. "M" said the boy threw up baked beans and there was in fact bean remains in his stomach. And as "M" also stated the women was bathing him and when the boys body was found he fingers were pruned up. "M" also gave a description of the boy that would match up to what he would look predeath. But this would not hold up as "M" suffered from mental illness and neighbors did not see a boy living in the house or around the house. It will later be revealed the "M" was an 11 year old girl and she claimed the boys name was Johnathan and coincidentally the boys cause of death was from massive head wounds
3. The third theory is that the boy was being raised as a girl which could explain his well kept appearance. Their is a sketch of what he would look like if he was a female and it did strike a lead that a family said he could be related but there are no further updates.
