I don’t know what Feyre did to ya’ll, but you’re gonna need to calm down when speaking about her.
Acting like she’s the worst character, that Nesta was justified in the way she treated Feyre and that if she was your sister you would have done worst than her … like you’re pathetic if you’re love for Nesta blinds you to the point where you see no wrong in what she did. And even admit that you would be an abuser in the situation as well. It’s not the flex you think it is.
This is so disrespectful. It should be illegal.

Which is absolutely not intended to exonerate American textbooks, which have done similar things. However, let’s also not forget that Canada treats their indigenous people the worst of any “developed” country in the world–yes, including the US.

People go on whole rants about how nesta didn’t fail feyre because “she isn’t responsible for her” then turn around and say the ic “failed” nesta. It isn’t nesta’s job to support or look after her baby sister but it’s the inner circle’s job to look after and support nesta? They don’t know her. They have no relation to her. So why are they shitted on for “ignoring her when she was depressed”, but that energy isn’t reciprocated to nesta ignoring feyre’s depression and even contributing to it? Anyone got an answer?
Feyre Archeron is for the girls that were forced to grow up too fast. She is for the sisters that had to take the brunt of other peoples abuse so she could survive and protect her family. She is for the girls that had to give up their whole childhood to help raise their siblings because their parents weren’t bothered. She is for the younger siblings who have only ever experienced abuse from an older sibling. She is for the girls that always need to be in control for the fear that their whole life will crumble around them. She is for the girls who never cared about their worth, beauty or anything like that because they were so neglected that they thought it didn’t matter anyways. She is for the girls who never knew how valuable and precious they are because without them, others wouldn’t be able to survive.
She is for the girls who accept mistreatment from a toxic lover because they confuse toxic love for true love as it was the only form of love they ever experienced. She is for the girls that have never been in a relationship because they know they will accept mistreatment and confuse that as love because it’s the only “love” they experienced growing up and it’s scares them to even think about it. She is for the girls that only dream small because they feel they’re not worthy of something better, yet somehow that small dream seems like the biggest achievement to them. She is for the girls that are in constant survival mode even when they don’t need to be.
She is for the girls that pray they will find a man like Rhysand so they can grow, heal and love in a way they deserve. She is for the girls that learned strength and resilience through themselves without even realising it until years later. She is for the girls that need constant reassurance that everything will be ok and that they can relax every now and then!!!
To all my fellow Feyre Archeron’s out there, you got this. No matter how far you are in your journey, you still got this. You’ll get to where you want to be and you will look back on this day with pride. You will survive this. Never give up. I love you all!!!!

Daily reminder that Feyre taught n.esta how to use a bow. She had enough skill to remember how to use it years later but not enough skills to feed HERSELF or her family.
And the “it was one of the few times she and Feyre had been allies.” Is so pathetic. They weren’t allies when she saved her life for years??? When Feyre gave her unearned money?? This one-sided weird resentment towards Feyre would make so much sense of Feyre did something to her. Or if n.esta hated her but didn’t also take from her all this time. N.esta is jealous of her ability to get up and fight for herself, and reading acosf was a headache
My main issue with Nesta, Tamlin, Lucien, Eris or any anti-IC fans is that their takes are laced with so much condescension. They throw in big words on the IC gang like capitalism, racism, abuse, nepotism etc almost any concept that ends with -ism. but when we complain the same things to their beloved characters, they shift the fault to the narrative and that "..the narrative makes them evil but they're really not." And that is such lame bs because how are you going to say that Tamlin being abusive is "..because the narrative says so but he's really good. He just got a traumatic past," or that "SJM wrote them that way and retconned him." Not to ride on the SJM boat but it is her characters and she made them so if your favorite character is written to be a loser and you constantly complain about why they're written that way then that's not her fault.
Also, like why the fuck are they making excuses for it. I thought they adored flawed characters but why are they in return sanctifying them? I'm not saying the IC is a saint either because they all have showcased their flaws but the main issue is the double standard that IC = automatically evil because of SJM and Anti-IC = victim of SJM writing. I agreed on one post that anti-ICs consisting of Nesta, Tamlin, Lucien, Eris, or maybe Tarquin are mostly joined together because most of these stans just think these are the characters that didn't "hate" their beloved Nesta/Tamlin. And notice that these are the people that hurt Feyre? But they want to downplay her experience of abuse with these characters because apparently, Feyre is an 'unreliable' narrator or she's a bad communicator. It's so stupid. On top of this, they want to victimize these characters so much. The fanfics consist of them being the victims and banding together like deluded underdogs to overthrow the IC and it's actually embarrassing how these antis dig this. Then they come up with these grand names for them like Lucien as High King or Tamlin finally getting revenge or Nesta as high queen while IC jail happily ever after. No amount of "they're just fictional characters" excuses would convince me because they themselves throw in too complex and out-of-touch issues in a fantasy romance book. But when we complain, they get all nerdy and protest that we're gatekeeping intellectual' discourse. Lol be fr.

Surprised at the audacity of calling a 20/21 years old feyre a "child bride", illiterate, "birth weakened" and constantly degrading her along with other female characters in the series to hype the one girlboss up while dickriding so hard for all the men in the series who have done way more fucked up shit and then preaching feminism and women empowerment to the rest of the fandom.
I would call feyre a nepo baby too if my favorite character can’t get off her lazy ass to save her own life. Of course feyre looks like she gets everything. She actually works for it and doesn’t have a little sister to steal from
I’m actually happy that feyre considers mor to be more of a sister to her than nesta and elain. Like at least she isn’t COMPLETELY blind to how those two treated her and recognizes that some part of her will never fully forgive them for it. She deserves someone who actually treats her like a sister and cares for her, not people who sit back while she’s abused, take advantage of her kindness and only show their care when she’s in life or death situations.

The kid going to any length to feed her family so they don't fucking die isn't her being an "enabler". The father sitting on his ass and never trying to put an end to n.esta's verbal abuse of feyre IS enabling her behavior. The 20/21 something sister siding with the abusive one and only talking to feyre when she needed something IS enabling her abusive and selfish tendencies.

the whole “nesta wouldve done anything for elain” narrative never made sense to me when she’s never actually done anything for elain. at the end of the day it was always feyre who actually took care of elain and nesta was quick to dismiss elain when she started repairing her relationship with feyre and called her a dog in her head
Yeah I never got that either. The narrative paints n.esta as this martyr saint just because she was generally protective of her younger sister......which is how most siblings, especially older siblings are towards their younger ones?? What's so special about it? That's a very normal thing (n.esta only caring about feyre when she is in extreme life and death situations is what's NOT normal!) the fact that sjm tries to portray this as something extraordinarily heroic just shows how she doesn't have the first idea how sibling dynamics work.
Why am I expected to cheer on n.esta for waiting for feyre to get eaten by the wolves to finally step up and get a job? Also why is prostitution her only option? She was educated at a time when literacy was rare and valued. She couldn't teach some kids in the village or offer to teach something to the young women she was friends with for some coins? it would kill the whole "woe is me" storyline so it's not even considered a possibility
And yes the whole "n.esta would do anything for elain" is just telling but not showing. Her stans who always belittle elain for being a gardener and behave like n.esta singlehandedly brought up, clothed and fed elain and that elain should kiss her feet for that are forgetting that elain is the reason n.esta (& her mate) is alive and got to brag about killing the king "WiTh luCk aNd rAgE".
In book 1 n.esta did go to get feyre back knowing she'll die but then in acomaf and acosf it's turned into "it's always elain" like idk what sjm was trying to do with her but whatever it was it just made n.esta look way more shitty than she actually was.

The deal with feyre is that she does not adhere to the expectations people generally have with a non-traditional female character. She doesn't fit the ideal "strong badass" woman who's cold & bitchy and always aggressive--basically the kind of fmcs that people reading YA fantasy are used to seeing which makes some readers place her under the category of a "soft feminine girl" but the thing is she just cannot be placed under one category and people doing that are erasing her complexity.
To simply put it: she's different.
Feyre is not written to be this obnoxiously epic main character who behaves perfectly in all situations and always takes the right decision neither is she a damsel in need of rescue. The narrative recognizes her weaknesses and strengths and doesn't paint her to be a perfect know-it-all. I like a heroine that is allowed to make mistakes and be vulnerable without being too fragile, who is allowed to be strong and tough without being too brittle.
She has a lot of compassion and empathy for people but she can also be hard and unforgiving to some. We've known her as a fierce huntress but also just a girl who wants to do nothing but paint, who sees beauty in simple things and dreams, we've seen the girl who slays giant monsters and the girl who sits next to a dieing stranger who belongs to the kind that has always terrified her because she doesn't want him to be alone, we've seen her be a merciless killer but also a kind friend, a caring sister, an understanding partner and a gentle mother. She's all of those things and none of them. We've seen so many sides of her and I like that sjm has been very subtle when it comes to writing feyre but people trying to use just one aspect of her character to define her and saying she can only be one (1) of these things i.e. either a warrior/fighter or a mother or high lady are missing the point!!
I love how Holly Black didn’t even attempt to redeem Cardan, instead she just made Jude so much worse he seemed inoffensive by comparison
