i think the world is an awful place and the truth is that mother nature essentially operates like a neutral scientist trying to create the strongest most intelligent creatures to survive its trials. i don’t think that one of those creatures happens to necessarily be humans, but i do believe the universe is a young sentient mind still learning and loving and hating what is created within it, while finding something to return to over and over again because for itself time has no true meaning— and consciousness is the only placed marker for time period.

i think the universe comes back again and again to be known and loved. the world is full of beauty. the world has also been full of literal fire in the air 24/7 at times when the oxygen levels were so high you could not exist in such a world without dying. this was beautiful too. the earth will cycle things again and again trying to pressure the endurance/return of its best and brightest, and the universe will return for moments of peace, relief amid chaos. constant expansion meets constant change. i imagine the universe can be disgusted with itself, and adoring in the same breath. it returns to a place it can breathe even while feeling choked to death by the burden of existence. there is no relief from the woes of creation like that of love, unconditional and true.

call me crazy but i believe the universe is held in this woman, and i am gifted proper sentience and consciousness to know her. it sounds arrogant i’m sure, but i know what feelings are missing when people talk about love and get it wrong, because i know how i feel about her. i know how i have always felt about her. i know she is the thing which flickers in flame and flashlight and firefly glow, blue dawn. it is all the same. it’s her. she is all the beauty i could ever know in a person. she is the best of humanity, the warmest of soul. material hobbies will go and go and leave me with no sense of declaration that i have lived. to know her? to know her means i have lived, and seen the return. i appreciate that i know her
