Alexa had been making her way to her seat, getting swept up in the crowd when the words she heard stunned her and rooted her in her place. She looked around, trying to remember faces from that horrible night a year ago in the warehouse but she only remembered two and they were dead. She looked to her left to see @allieturner. “I’m not crazy, right?” She whispered. “You heard that too? About the Revelationists?”
Allie stood stone still when she hear the words. She closed her eyes and shook her head. “No... it couldn’t be. They weren’t back.” She thought to herself.
She felt a nudge and heard Alexa’s voice, looking over. “Y-yeah... yeah I did. Suddenly I feel sick.”
“My least favorite part about these things? Is wearing dresses.” She said as she reached for her dress. She held it up to show @allieturner I have to squeeze all of this in that dress and still somehow conceal some weapons somewhere just to make sure I’m prepared if something were to happen. What are you going to wear?” she asked.
“You’re going to look incredibly hot, no matter what. Stop griping.” Allie shook her head. “I have no idea. Probably a tent. Because...” she said pointing to her baby bump.

Allie Couldn’t help but chuckle as she leaned over the counter and looked at them. “Hey… I’ve been calling the baby a monster or alien since I found out, so it works. They smell good, so I’ll bet they taste good. And that’s all that matters.” She shrugs. “My mom used to tell me they uglier the baking the better it tastes.”

“I’m pretty sure they are cool enough to eat. I’ll take the first bite though, just to make sure they are edible. Safety first and all that.” She chuckled to herself as she picked up the ugliest in the batch and took a bite. “Yes, they taste much better than they look. Help yourself to as many as you want. Really they’re all for you. I quite like that saying to be honest. It makes me feel better about my ugly cookies. Is your mom still around?” she asked curiously.
Allie chuckled as Beau ate one of the cookies, she reached for one as well, taking a big bite. “These are delicious!! I hope you don’t judge me if I eat most of them in one sitting.” She shook her head when the question came up about her mom. “No...she passed a couple of years ago. Once I left home, the coven kind of... fell apart I guess. But she helped people until the day she died.”
“So I’m not great with babies and baby stuff. And I basically just googled it. But since we’re friends, and you’re probably going to be needing this stuff I got you some things. It probably pales in comparison to the things you’ll actually need but I figured this would be a nice start…maybe? I also don’t know if you’re having a boy or a girl so shopping for the baby is kind of hard to do.” It was a carrier that had a few diapers and wipes and a bunch of slots for other things. Rick figured it was practical and handy. He was new to being thoughtful and caring so he figured he’d just give it a try. Who didn’t like free stuff after all. @allieturner
“Rick!!! You didn’t have to do that, but thank you. I appreciate it. I’ll be honest... I haven’t started shopping yet. I mean I’ve looked at a few things, but then I get overwhelmed.” She shook her head, but leaned in to hug him. “This is incredibly sweet of you. I really mean it, Thank you.”
“Okay, so I’m attempting to decorate these cookies for you, present them with little smiley faces and cutesy things but they are turning out to look like little monsters. But you’re going to eat them…I hope so please disregard the presentation. I’m not very artsy,” she told @allieturner. She’d come over and offered to bake her something figuring that pregnant women enjoyed food. So why not bake cookies.

Cause you know… cravings.” She laughed nervously. “I don’t have have a twin, nor is there anyone stowed away in my basement. I mean, I have some dark history, but not that. I can be an open book if I need to be.”

Oh my god, who is word vomiting now?” Allie let out a sigh and nodded. “I have yeah, I mean I know it’s a baby. Somehow calling it an alien makes it easier?”

I think it’s atrocious but since it’s making you smile it might make a reappearance.” Beau gave the other woman a gentle smile. “I don’t know much about mothering a child, but I have a mother and am a former child, so what I can say is, ask yourself this can I whole heartedly and unconditionally love my child? Can I put them first? Provide for them? And weigh all decisions reasonably when it comes to their wellbeing? If a child is loved and taken care of there’s no room for hate. No mom has it all figured out but the most important things are loving them, supporting them and providing for them.”
“I do. Yes. Quite cute.” Allie grinned. She listened as Beau spoke, nodding along. “That’s a valid point, I hadn’t really thought of it that way. I mean, I’m scared and yeah, I’m calling it an alien, but I will love this kid, and put them first. It wasn’t planned, but, I guess it could be some sort of blessing in disguise?”

“No mini van. Not happening. I’m not going to be THAT mom. No, I have a very reasonable suv. It’s small but it’s mine.” Allie grinned, “it’s big enough to haul us around if need be. I’m not super sure it’s human, I just hope it doesn’t try to kill me from the inside out if thats the case.”
“However you approach the role, you’re going to do it well. I’ve seen you act before, it’s really amazing to watch, so I’ve got 100% faith you’re going to rock this.” She smiled sincerely and then held her hands up in defense when Hayden’s tone changed. “Things can be amazing right now. I wasn’t trying to… start anything. Just checking. And yes, we can certainly keep it that way.” She hugged her cousin, “sorry, guess that maternal instinct is already creeping in.”

Especially since this time fans will have season 1 to compare it to and boy will they,” Hayden trailed off, knowing that it would be coming. Any show that swaps out an actor during their second season is practically asking for critics to analyze every scene. “I know you weren’t and I appreciate it, I do. I just am, um, kind of hoping Vancouver can be a fresh start, you know? I get it. Just, uh, do me a favor and save the parenting for the alien, deal?”
“What about me looks like a carpool mom? This thing is going to be lucky if I get it to school on time, wearing something other than pajamas.” Allie said matter of factly. “That’s the most optimism I have about this situation. At least for now.”
“Deal. I’m proud of you, you know that?” Allie asked, nudging the other with her arm. “And I know I’ve said it a bunch already, but man oh man, how I’ve missed you.”

And seeing you this happy with something from them, a promise and wish granted, you’re kind of changing my mind about doubting them, not going to lie.” Allie smiled. “I guess if they’re out granting wishes again, I’ll make sure to ask for something good.”

Allie shrugged. “For this alien to arrive healthy? And me know exactly what to do when he or she is here?” She let out a laugh. “Honestly? As simple as it sounds, I want more space in my house for my witchy side. Like just somewhere I can go and study, or create things. I mean, lots of people have art studios in their homes, or something similar, why not a reserved area to practice my craft?”

“Oh really? Oops.” She chuckled. “It happens around here though. More than you’d think, actually. How is the new role? Are you enjoying yourself, or at least excited for it?” Allie knew her younger cousin well enough to know that she wouldn’t actively bring up other things, “any episodes lately?” She asked softly. “I’m not trying to pry, I just worry about you. I worry less when you’re around, when you’re less than a phone call away from me.”
