Did you know that black cats have lower adoption rates and higher euthanasia rates than other cats?
Black cats are just like other cats: warm, fuzzy, and full of love! They are deserving of love too and are waiting for a loving home!
What do you think needs to be done?
What do you think needs to be done to change the system? When I say system, I mean how we view animals and how they are treated. Why do we allow them to be mistreated, especially in shelters? Why are their kill shelters allowed? There has to be another way! What are your thoughts?
Lee County Domestic Animal Services euthanized this fur baby for no reason at all. Only after two hours after being brought in a few days ago, the cat was put down. The cat didn’t have a microchip or collar. This is uncalled for! This baby didn't even have a chance to reunite with his/her owner.

Pitbulls Matter!
"Euthanasia Rates: Approximately 40% of pit bulls in shelters are euthanized, often due to breed stigma and misconceptions." - Time Magazine Pit bulls are looked at as an 'evil' dog and their is a stigma towards them. They are often abused and misused, so their is a fear against them. Pit bulls are friendly and have emotional intelligence. They are recognized for their loyalty and affection toward children. They just need training like any other dog.
Black cats aren't a curse. They are a gift; a gift you should treasure forever.

They are worth it!
I just saw something horrifying on Facebook about a man who was killing cats who came to his house. He claimed shelters wouldn't take them, so his response? His response was to kill them with carbon monoxide poisoning.
ALL PAWS ARE WORTH IT!
