I always love that this is apparently the best Shane can do to act straight
hahaha okay jenny.Â
date someone who makes you laugh as hard as when Bette Porter found out about Shane and Jenny having sex
Anti-vaxxers are predominately educated, well-off white women. Women with college degrees and middle class backgrounds! You know why they choose not to vaccinate their kids? Because they think the rules donât apply to them. Because they believe that their INDIVIDUAL rights as a parent are more important than the well-being of all the children around them. This is a symptom of the middle class, nuclear family dynamic! THEY CHOOSE TO NOT VACCINATE THEIR KIDS BECAUSE THEY FEELÂ THEY HAVE THE MEANS TO DEAL WITH ANY ILLNESS THAT MAY COME UP. But please, tell me more about how poor, ~uneducated~ rural people are the root of all social problems in the world.
This is a common misconception, because letâs face it, women are blamed for everything, but a significantly higher percentage of anti vaxxers are men than women. Theyâre low income, and tend to live in rural areas.
Pretty much the entire premise of this post is simply not borne out by the facts.
https://qz.com/355398/the-average-anti-vaxxer-is-probably-not-who-you-think-she-is/
#this source doesnt show it but click to the poll and it shows white people are way more likely to believe in vaccination also#u dumb sexist fucks#stop using the phrase âmiddle aged white womenâ to try and excuse your sexism#the demographic op described is literally the most likely to vaccinate LMAO
Yeah I was half asleep when I posted last night and missed the opportunity to point out that not only is the OP wrong on the details, but itâs actually literally the OPPOSITE of reality.
Men: 56% anti-vaxxers are men and 44% are female (compared to an average population ratio of 49% men and 51% women).
Not necessarily parents: Having kids didnât affect the likelihood of respondents to declare themselves against vaccines.
In lower income brackets: People earning less than $25,000 a year are 50% more likely to distrust vaccines.
45 to 54 years old: People in this age group are 26% more likely than any other to oppose vaccinations.
Midwestern: Citizens living in the Midwest region appear more likely to have âclosetedâ anti-vaccine sentiment.
Live in rural areas: Rural dwellers are 28% more likely to refuse vaccines.
Liberal: 60% of anti-vaxxers describe their political leaning as liberal.
Non-college educated: People with a high school diploma as their highest education level are 11% more likely to be against vaccines.
Donât go to doctors: anti-vaxxers are 88% more likely not to have seen a doctor in the past year.
Donât care about the environment: anti-vaxxers are 30% more likely to be ânot concerned at allâ about the environment and climate change.
Donât think their votes matter: People who oppose vaccines are 69% more likely to feel like their vote doesnât matter.
everything is womens fault!!!
So anti-vaxxers are poorly educated men relatively on the fringes of society who think personal responsibility doesnât exist and nothing they do matters anyway? Selfish apathy basically? Who would have thunk
No matter what happens, I love you.Â
Honestly shoutout to The Social Network for giving us the line âyouâre going to go through life thinking that girls donât like you because youâre a nerd. And I want you to know, from the bottom of my heart, that that wonât be true. Itâll be because youâre an assholeâ because if that doesnât epitomize womenâs feelings for entitled male nerds I donât know what does

I really hate how âyour partner shouldnât be a psychicâ has evolved into âyou cannot expect your partner to be intuitive to your needs or wants at allâ because thatâs⊠quite frankly ugly and a really good way to make your relationship feel like a chore.Â
I pay attention to the things my partners like and Store Thatâą in my little brainspace until it becomes useful. My bf likes tea. We were cleaning out an office full of stuff yesterday and they had some tea leftover they wouldâve thrown out, so I took it home to him. Wow! He didnât tell me he needed or wanted that, but he appreciated it because itâs something he likes.
Not everything has to be some grand gesture to show your s/o that youâre into them and youâre paying attention to them. I recall someone saying they wrote down things about their S/O and their interests so they could look back and remind themselves since their memory sucked. Things like that matter.
And I think itâs really cruel to tell people, and especially women who this type of shit is always put towards, that they arenât allowed to want romance or spontaneity because itâs an âunreasonableâ expectation. It really isnât. Healthy communication does not inherently mean constant hand-holding.Â
Iâve literally never heard someone say donât pay attention to your partnerâs likes/dislikes or wants/needs. What the messaging is trying to get across to people in relationships (all types) is that if something is wrong, you have to tell the other person whatâs wrong. You canât assume that theyâll âhave the intuitionâ to magically figure it out.
Iâm a simple womanâŠ. I see two girls kiss on a TV show, I watch the TV show.Â
So relatable. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
How much you wanna bet that Hayley Kiyoko will sing âThe L Wordâ rebootâs theme song?
âIn 2012, Louis C.K. appeared on âThe Daily Showâ and said that âcomedians and feminists are natural enemiesâ because âfeminists canât take a joke.â Jon Stewart nodded vigorously and agreed. Today, Stewart is being fawned over for acknowledging, in response to Louis C.K.âs fall, that âcomedy on its best day is not a great environment for women.â A friend, the comedian Zahra Noorbakhsh, texted me: Ten years from now a man will win awards for his documentary about all this. If you believe us now only because your peers are facing professional ruin, that deserves its own reckoning. Iâll wait.â

Every time you think âthey could have hurt me worseâ, remember that you shouldnât have been hurt at all. You should have received support and help on everything you struggled with. You should never have faced pain from the hands of your loved ones. You should have been safe and happy and without a care in the world as a child. Thatâs what you compare your abuse to.Â
