I find Nicola and Luke's relationship fascinating. Previous anons comments on how Luke seems to need someone in his life makes me think that during their filming season, they must have developed a deep dependency on each other. When that experience was over it must have been a big shock for both of them. I feel Nic has the support in place to cope with it but Luke didn't. Maybe what we are seeing now is Luke still trying to navigate his way through it. My overwhelming impression of Luke is that he needs to be liked and lets others lead the way. Antonia maybe young but i get the jmpression she is more assertive than Luke. Either way, his professional life is a big old mess.

Perhaps this Anon dump wasn’t as chaotic as usual.

I think it’s also hard for the extremely obsessed to accept that Nic and Luke are real people, and they’re not perfect, they have real flaws and issues that they have to work through. No, they don’t have a baby, no they are not together, but shipping them should be okay as long as you’re respectful about it.

That being said, it is not hate to say that Luke is squandering his potential because of his codependency and that Nicola getting a kick out of emphasizing the age gap with her boyfriend is weird as hell, to say the least.

It’s really interesting what people’s definition of hate is.

Just because you call someone out on their bullshit does not mean you are a hater or hate them.

It actually means you care and want to see the best versions of them.

I decided to look up “reset” since that’s triggered such emotions in fans. Merriam-Webster: “to set again or anew: such as

: to put back into an original place or position”

ABC News, 13 July 2026:

“Because progress is rarely linear, patience and the ability to reset expectations can be as valuable as perseverance, consistency and motivation, according to experts.”

I remember Luke’s social media before all this craziness, and his posts were often delightful. I miss that time. Maybe he does too. Maybe he’s trying to figure out his way back to a time when life was a little bit more simple. Maybe he’s questioning some of his decisions and trying to find answers. Maybe neither of those is true and I am completely wrong. Haven’t we all needed resets in our own lives? That’s part of being a human—famous or not. I know…when you’re famous and put yourself out there you have to accept the good, the bad, the ugly. But he’s human and that negativity and judgement must be difficult at times.

I think what Luke and his people fail to realize over and over and over again is that Antonia is triggering.

Most people dislike her, some tolerate her and others just want her gone. Very few are fans of this relationship. They know the history by now.

No perceived “reset” is going to change that.

And certainly not by posting yet another “vacation” they went on together.

People want to see him work, and work some more.

When comparing him to any of his Bridgerton cast mates (lead or ensemble cast) or his peers in this business, they work. And work and work. Or at least they appear to do so.

Perception is more important than what is actually going on behind the scenes.

Luke knows better.

I just think he’s a passive aggressive little shit 💩 and has been since S3 press started, by showing up late to the media kickoff meetings in NY, because he was too busy celebrating Antonia turning 23 in Paris 🙄…

Many people don't know this but Luke is the new cultural ambassador of Cyprus.

While I don’t think it will be a true comparison, I have this suspicion that there will be talk about any parallels between the perception of Luke’s relationship with some of the aspects of I am Helen. Especially with it being an improvised drama in which Nicola is responsible for so much of the story development. The dialogue in the clip released today of how the bf doesn’t like her being independent and needs her to need him just sounded eerily similar to me.

Interesting thought 💭….

Well here we are this morning!

do you think Nicola and Luke regret making their personal lives so pubic over the past 2+ years? Sometimes I think Nicola’s hand was forced initially and she did it to combat the shipping, but she definitely has gone all out. I so wish they could take a page from their Bridgerton colleagues’ ability to create boundaries and keep the focus on their work.

I was going to say yes for Nicola and no for Luke, but in thinking about it more, I am going to say no for both.

Why?

Because they both have huge egos and they like that they have a young girlfriend and a young boyfriend to show off.

Luke constantly taking the 📸 of Antonia’s 🍑 so she can post them on her IG.

Nicola constantly promoting Jake to her 6 M followers.

Nicola and Luke are much more alike than you think.

And yes, it goes back to their own insecurities about themselves.

I always thought that Rory was a key instigator in facilitating Luke’s HBS era with an opportunity to take advantage of having a newly single best friend becoming more flush with cash and fame and looking to explore the “perks” of his new status. I pictured him as Iago whispering nonstop flattery and appealing to Luke’s baser instincts so that he could ride with him.

After the friend break up trip, I know several people gossiped about possible cheating allegations, etc. but I always thought it was something else that led to all that and I know that Rory ended up working on some stuff after that.

With all that has come since that time, I actually wonder if Rory started to get tired of the flattery and it was actually more about Rory hurting Luke’s ego and not wanting to fill that sidekick role anymore. It just seems like Luke had a shift since then to center Antonia as the main piece in his world. I feel like he has continued to move into her world rather than grow and mature in his own. This shift makes more sense to me if he basically replaced Rory with Antonia (after replacing Jade with Rory). This need of his to have someone else have such an influence on his identity and direction as well as soothe his ego instead of facing his own insecurities and dealing with them in a mature way has been a sad thing to witness in someone that has had so many opportunities for growth. But, as you say, it’s his life and his choices.

You bring up some interesting thoughts.

Rory was definitely a sidekick but I don’t blame him for Luke’s choices. Those are on Luke.

And making any one person the center of your world is not always a good choice.

That Luke appears to do this as a pattern of behavior, is concerning.

He has gone nonstop without a girlfriend, with the exception of HBS, when he had Rory.

He moves in with them way too quickly as well.

Sometimes you need to b r e a t h e …..

And learn to stand on your own before you can walk forward with someone else.

I adore Luke N! I think he’s incredibly talented, but even I got the ick looking at his new post. Last I heard, he uses his social media for work, but he’s posting about his vacation? What does he need a reset for? He’s so out of touch it hurts my brain. Everything going on in the world and poor guy needs a reset from working briefly on Bridgerton and a play from last September. Come on dude!
