Wouldn't it be funny if the actor MC was constantly saying shit like "It's like you're not even trying to make this fake relationship work." Tears and all, oscar winning performance really and it's over the stupidest shit like grabbing a midnight snack while Sutton is trying to rationalize with them how this is a bad idea and how paparazzi may see them and the Mc is like "What kind of fake lover are you if you don't even want to be seen around me! Am I just your dirty little secret?" And I'm sure Sutton is thinking "This fucker can not be for real."
I don't know the idea popped into my head and I thought it was funny. I think it would be funny either way if the MC was dead serious about it or just fucking around to piss Sutton off.
Omg I'm laughing so hard! 🤣 The best part is that Sutton is fighting for their life trying to keep a low profile, and MC is just out there acting like they're in a soap opera. I can totally see a troll MC doing this just to mess with Sutton's serious attitude, but a dead-serious MC being genuinely offended is equally hilarious. 'Am I your dirty little secret?!' is my new favorite concept 🤣
If this is doable... What are the ROs' love languages? Receiving and/or giving? Thanks for creating characters that live rent-free in my head btw 🥹
Hi! I love this question and that's actually why I made a whole post about it on my Patreon recently hehe. I can't give you all the details here, but I'll gladly share their 'giving' love languages:
C. Sutton: Quality time. C knows it’s hard to keep up with their schedule, so they like to really stay present when they're with you.
S. Cross: Words of affirmation. S has a way with words and is incredibly proud of you, so they’d make sure to let you know as often as they can.
N. Pike: Acts of service. If N finds out you’re struggling with something and they can do something to help, they will step in without a second thought to make your life easier.
R. Fox: Gifts. It doesn’t matter if you mention something quickly in passing; they will remember it.
T. Navarro: Physical touch. T is firmly convinced there’s nothing a good hug can’t fix, and they’re not shy about showing it.
Thank you so much for the support and for saying they live rent-free in your head, that means the world to me! 🥹 If you want to know their 'receiving' love languages and read the full deep dive, you can find the complete post on my Patreon.
*bats eyelashes cutely* sweetheart, darling, apple of my eye, if I wanted to ruin Cross’s life and give the, a bad time what do I have to do? How much flirting do I have to pick to cement MC as “the one who got away”?
Alright, off the record? Grow that relationship bar by playing the nostalgic ex. Make them feel safe, let them think you're still hung up on them until they're ready to risk it all for you.
Now, if you want maximum chaos? Well, you could instead [REDACTED].
Let's just say there's more than one way to completely ruin an ex's life in Hollywood 😈
Ah this is a such a fun story! Loving it so far <3
Aw, thanks for your ask and reblog! And welcome to All That Glitters! 🎬✨ It means the world to me when new readers reach out. Thank you so much for giving the demo a try! I hope you have a blast navigating all the chaos and PR drama! ❤️
It’s been SO much fun reading through all your submitted comments and coding the opportunities for the MC to react to them! haha 💬✨
Here is a little sneak peek of how they look in the code! You can see a few of them here, but the rest are all hidden, waiting for you to discover them!
THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who participated! I had actually written my own placeholder comments at first, but I ended up deleting them all so I could use yours instead—and that just feels amazing. I couldn't fit every single one, but I wish I could! I really hope we can do this again in the future.
Hope you guys enjoy seeing your words in Chapter 5! 🎬🍿💖
I think T might get a bit less attention because to see scenes with them, you have to turn down R which might feel rude or like you're skipping part of the story?
Oh yes, I have no doubt about that, haha! As of right now, there are only three opportunities to meet T: the flashback in Chapter 4 (which everyone gets), choosing the Scandal path, or choosing to go back home alone after your meeting with Coco. Because of that, I know not everyone gets to encounter them.
The same thing happens with Chris. You have to choose a career first, and later on, you have to turn down Fox to talk to him.
(Long answer under the cut!) 🛑👇
And that is going to keep happening! While there will be plenty of scenes that everyone shares, there will also be moments where you simply have to choose.
This also applies to secondary characters (Chris, Claudia, Lizzy, Samir...). You will get more scenes with them depending on your career, whereas characters like Coco, Dakota, and Leo are constants across all routes. I feel like it just makes more sense that way!
For example, in Chapter 5, everyone will get the date with Sutton, but afterwards, you will have to choose just one of the other ROs to have a scene with.
I really want this game to have high replayability, and I want the story to feel genuinely different based on your choices. Of course, that doesn’t mean you’ll miss all the scenes with a specific RO just because you missed one!
And that’s maybe a bit too long of an answer, lol! I hope it makes sense! 😂❤️
I was just listening to Lady Gaga in my mind when, suddenly, Paparazzi played. Which made me think of T (I'm down BAD).
So... how would T react to singer MC making a song about paparazzi / T?
Hi!! I always cheer up whenever I see someone asking about T! Like I always say, I sometimes feel like I'm neglecting them a bit, so I'm sorry about that! 🫣❤️
T would be so confused at first. They’d probably be like: "There's no way this is about me... right? But... wait, it really sounds like it's about me..."
Upon actually getting confirmation? Oh, they would be on cloud nine! They would get incredibly cocky about it, and of course, you should definitely expect a lot of teasing from them 😉📸🎵
Can you rank the ROs based off their jealousy/ possesiveness? Im curious who's the most and least chill lol
Also stealing this from another ask but...
What is something they want, need and dread to hear from the MC?
Hi! I feel like this ask is a bit tricky since it can enter spoiler territory, but I’ll do my best to answer! Please keep in mind that their jealousy levels will also depend heavily on the choices you make along the way 😉
Also, let me know if you would like me to include Chris in these kinds of asks in the future, since he’s getting so popular! lol
Instead of a strict ranking, here are their general vibes when those feelings creep in:
Pike (N): They would see the competition simply as an opportunity to show you why you should choose them. Fighting or arguing with someone else over you? Nah. Pike would focus entirely on you, do their absolute best, and leave the choice in your hands.
Fox (R): They would feel a bit insecure at first, but then they'd remind themselves that you chose them when you could have chosen Sutton or Pike. That has to mean something, right? They would handle the feeling in a mature way and choose to trust you.
Navarro (T): He is used to watching you from afar, so his jealousy is more about quiet resignation and putting his professional walls back up. He wouldn't make a scene; instead, he would take a step back, quietly thinking you have better options than him.
Cross (S): As the ex, he definitely thinks he still has a say. Expect some very territorial, passive-aggressive comments disguised as "concern."
Sutton (C): They are definitely prone to jealousy, but they are not ones to make a scene. Sutton would pull you aside privately, express their concern, and talk it out. They might hide a lot from the public, but they absolutely do not want secrets in their private life.
As for the second part of the ask (omg it truly is long lol):
Sutton
Want: "I want us to be real."
Need: "You don't have to put on a show for me."
Dread: "This whole thing was just a business transaction to me."
Fox
Want: "I feel completely safe when I'm with you."
Need: "I'm not going to leave you behind."
Dread: "You're just a distraction."
Pike
Want: "Everything is better with you."
Need: "You belong here, and you are doing amazing."
Dread: "You're too naive."
Navarro
Want: "I want you, despite everything."
Need: "I trust you with my lowest moments."
Dread: "You're just another paparazzi trying to ruin my life."
Cross
Want: "After all these years, I still feel everything when you’re near."
Hi, I want to say that I am delighted by the story & can't wait for more. I have some questions:
1) What is the perfect date each RO would love to go on?
2) What would be the reaction of the ROs when they finally realize that they are deeply in love with MC?
3) How would they react when the MC is silly
Thanks and have a fun day :)
Hi! Thank you so much for reading and for your kind words! 💕
I'm going to answer 1 and 3, but I hope you don't mind if I skip question number 2! The moment they realize they are deeply in love is such a huge emotional milestone for their arcs, and I really want you all to experience it in the game first hand instead of reading it here! 😉
But for the other two... here we go!
1. Their Perfect Date 🍷
Sutton (C): Since their entire life is a public performance, their perfect date is the exact opposite. Staying in, ordering takeout from a place nobody knows, wearing sweatpants, and watching a terrible movie. No cameras, no PR rules, just being completely normal and relaxed without having to perform.
Pike (N): Something active and playfully competitive! Go-karting, an escape room, or an arcade. Pike wants a date where you can banter, challenge each other, and laugh out loud. And yes, they will absolutely try to win, but they'll buy you dinner afterwards.
Fox (R): Something completely unplanned and away from the crowds. A spontaneous drive to a scenic overlook at sunset with a bottle of good wine, some cheap takeout, and just talking for hours. For Fox, the perfect date is one where they don't have to manage a single thing.
Navarro (T): An underground, hidden gem of the city. A rooftop with no public access or just walking around the streets at 2 AM when the city is asleep. Navarro wants to escape the Hollywood bubble and share a quiet, unfiltered piece of the real world with you.
Cross (S): Something nostalgic. Cross misses the times before the fame complicated everything. Their perfect date is recreating an old memory—going to that dive bar you both used to frequent, or just driving aimlessly listening to a playlist from years ago.
3. How they react when the MC is silly 🤪
Sutton (C): At first, their PR reflexes might kick in and they'll look around to see if anyone is watching. But once they realize it's just the two of you, they'll hide a fond smile behind their hand. They absolutely love that you feel safe enough to drop the glamorous facade around them.
Pike (N): They will immediately match your energy. If you make a terrible joke, Pike will make a worse one. It instantly becomes a competition of who can be the most ridiculous.
Fox (R): They will sigh, shake their head, and say something like "What am I going to do with you?" while fighting a massive smile. They'll probably tease you about it later, but secretly, they find it incredibly endearing.
Navarro (T): Quiet, genuine laughter. Navarro is so used to celebrities being fake, guarded, and hyper-aware of their image. Seeing you be completely unfiltered and silly feels like a rare privilege.
Cross (S): They will give you that specific, fond look that says "I know exactly who you are." They'll roll their eyes affectionately and banter right back, effortlessly falling into your old rhythm.
Is the coffee date supposed to explicitly be a "date"? Like, are Sutton and MC going into it thinking they have to play it up as if they're already romantically involved?
Internet rumors are one thing, but I wasn't expecting on playing lovebirds just yet. Friendly, certainly, maybe just a smidge flirty, but more of a "will they, won't they?" than a recognized couple.
Is the date meant to draw speculation and hype that they might be getting together, or are they expected to act like they're already dating?
Hi! I don't want to spoil the upcoming "date," but I can clear that up for you!
That first encounter is strictly to test the waters and bait the press. Sutton and MC go into it knowing they need to play the part in a "we're getting to know each other" kind of way, showing just enough chemistry to light a fire of speculation. It's definitely meant to draw hype and make people wonder, rather than presenting them as an established couple right out of the gate.
Once you're in the scene, it will be entirely up to you as the player to decide how you want to handle it—you can be more flirty or more distant, but you definitely won't be forced into acting like lovey-dovey lovebirds just yet! 😉
Thanks for the ask, and I hope this answers your question! ❤️🎬
Be part of All That Glitters: I need your fake internet comments! 📸✨
Hi guys! Hope you’re doing great!
Chapter 5 is heavily under construction 🚧 and we’ve reached a very fun part: The MC is reading the internet’s reaction to their "PR date" with Sutton. I need to write some fake internet comments from fans reacting to the paparazzi pictures, and I thought it would be super fun to include you in the game!
Drop your best fake comment down below (with a fake username if you want!) and I’ll pick my 5 favorites to be officially featured in the game’s code!
To make it fit perfectly with the branching narrative, I need you to specify which MC background you are reacting to. Choose one of these scenarios for your comment:
💥 Scandal MC: (Vibe: "Sutton is crazy for dating a walking PR disaster.")
📉 Fading MC: (Vibe: "They are definitely using Sutton for clout to be relevant again.")
🌟 Rising MC: (Vibe: "Hollywood's new golden couple! I'm seated! 🍿")
💼 Workaholic MC: (Vibe: "I literally didn't think the MC had time to sleep, let alone date Sutton.")
You can be a hardcore Sutton defender, a hopeless shipper, a cynic who knows it's a PR stunt, or an absolute hater. Give me your best "chronically online" takes!
Can't wait to read what you come up with. Thanks for playing! 💖
(Note: My amazing Patrons are already getting guaranteed spots for their comments, but I wanted to open a few slots for everyone here too!)
Romancing Theo while being a scandal-driven MC must be an interesting combo...
I'm so happy to see you wondering about T too! You're not wrong, romancing them on every path can be chaotic, but with a Scandal route... yeah, it can get really messy, lol🔥
Speaking of T... here is a tiny, exclusive sneak peek from an upcoming chapter for all of you T lovers! 👀👇
You unlock your phone and check the notification, freezing when you see it's a DM from none other than T Navarro.
Just a text: "Sutton, seriously?"
Then comes a picture of you and Sutton saying goodbye in front of your cars. You blink at it. You know Coco despises Navarro, so it's impossible that they were the one snapping the photo.
I love how C acts so high and mighty, even though he agreed to this whole situation too. It’s honestly funny watching him act like he’s above it all when he’s apart of this.
N and R, on the other hand, are absolute gems so far. I especially worry about N because they’re still so new to the industry. As for R, it’s comforting to be able to rely on them and have great banter, even if they’ll have to sit back and watch us kiss and date C.
T is probably the most interesting because of his work as a paparazzi. I genuinely want to see how that dynamic is going to work, considering he’s always around during MC’s lowest moments. Still, despite all of that, I can’t help but want him. We should made him suffer a little bit for all the trouble his work puts us through!
No comment for S…
This is the second comment about T in a row, haha! I can't say who actually bought those tickets/crown, but I can tell you it wasn't T, since they weren't even at the gala. So, if you want to keep guessing, you have to look for someone who was actually there and had both the opportunity and the means to bid for it... 😉💸
Writing C is so much fun because the entire time I'm just thinking, "Dude, you really shouldn't talk that much," lol! As for R and N, I love them too because they are so genuine—what you see is what you get. Though, of course, that doesn't mean they're entirely perfect! 😉
As for T... I always feel a bit bad because they have the least amount of screen time for now. But! I just finished writing a scene with them and I'm happy with how it turned out. I'm so glad they've caught your attention already, and I can't wait for you all to see more of their dynamic with the MC. Making them suffer a little bit for all the paparazzi trouble sounds like an excellent plan!
Thank you so much for such a lovely comment! And poor S.... lol! 😭❤️
Sutton has my heartstrings tugged, and they aren't letting go. I love how you've written them, you're an amazing writer in general, but there's just something about a person with a stick up their ass that just gets my heart going
Aw, thank you so much! Reading this makes me incredibly happy. 🥰 And honestly? Completely valid. The "stubborn/stiff character" trope just hits different, and writing Sutton is so much fun. I’m thrilled you're loving how they are written! Thank you for the sweet support! ✨
