Eleanor let out the breath that she had been holding as he lowered the sharp tip of his blade away from her abdomen, “I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to….I should have been paying attention to where I was going….”

Her wide eyes and sharp breath brought him no pleasure. He’d been lost in his training and the last thing he’d meant to do was startle and unarmed woman... let alone a princess. “I’m the one who should apologize, highness. It was not my intention to frighten you.” If Morgause found out he’d raised a sword to her sister she’d throttle him. He’d probably let her.

Biography:

As many other young men from noble families, Lamorak joined a royal court early in his life to become a squire to one of the knights, and later a knight himself. His father decided to send him to Tintagel to learn about the ways of real men, as the castle belonged to one of the most important families in the kingdom. For years Lamorak assisted the knight he has been assigned to and trained hard to become just as skilled as his master, if not better.

He had only been a knight for a short while when he first met lady Morgause of Tintagel, and ever since he saw her, riding on her horse through the courtyard gracefully, his heart has not stopped racing. She was beautiful and majestic and something about her just made him yearn for her attention. Every tournament he’d attend that she was present for, he would win. Every time he saw her walking down the castle staircase while the knights were training, he tried to stand out of the crowd, be the best of the best. But the lady of the castle did not pay attention to the young knight, which is why he was so surprised when she approached him one day, requesting him to train her in sword fighting. Naturally he agreed, still in shock that lady Morgause acknowledged him.

Their training quickly evolved into a romance, which only fed Lamorak’s obsession. He knows Morgause probably does not love him, but he doesn’t care, as the fact that she chose him over others is all he needs to feel proud. He is driven to prove himself to be better than others, which makes him very competitive. He is loyal to those he considers his friends and family and would not hesitate to give his life for them. Unfortunately, he can also be very jealous at any man who gets close to Morgause and that often gets him in trouble.
