“I watched it [Bad Blood] again recently because I thought ‘Ok, I keep leaving my kids in London to go and shoot this thing in Vancouver and they have no idea what it is that I’m doing’ and so I thought ‘What episode could I show them that is even remotely appropriate in any way, shape or form as an almost 7 and almost 9-year-old.’ And I thought, ironically, that Bad Blood would be good. - Nightmares for a fucking week. That kid with the green eyes?! And my 6-year-old every time my 8-year-old turned the corner, he was like -*imitates the green-eyed vampire*- And the whole thing of him like, he jumped like a squirrel across the bed - Oh my God… *facepalm* So now that, I’ve literally tormented them. They are not a fan of The X-Files. They will be 21 and 24 by the time they watch the series again. Completely back-fired. Oh my God, they would not shut up and, of course, they told their dad that I showed them this… *facepalm* A nightmare. Anyway, that’s my story about Bad Blood… Still my favorite episode.”

Hello curvy peeps! Are you poor and body shapers are STUPIDLY EXPENSIVE? I just bought this Maidenform one after seeing good review on Amazon and it is pretty darn good! Now, it took a lot of effort to get it up over my butt, but… Once I did, this thing was super comfy! It’s obviously not perfect and it’s a little long (you can see in the fourth pic) and without modifications the bathroom may be tricky…. But for $25 you can’t beat it!!!! It got rid of my god awful muffin top!!!! Not that I usually wear this dress lmao…. I wear it as a tank top… but if I ever wanted to, now I could >_>

For anyone wondering, I’m 5’7 and my measurements are 42-36-44. I bought a large, which is for size 12-14, which I am (14), and it’s pretty snug but not choking! Also you can’t see my back rolls in the first picture, but they’re there, AND they’re gone when I put on the shaper x_x Also…. it pushes all of your bulk up. If you wear a pushup bra with this, prepare for a shelf if you’re anything like me…

People ask me/this blog a lot what they can do if they are uncomfortable wearing skin-tight cosplays. My first answer is usually: be proud of your body and don’t let anyone bring you down!!! But my second answer is a little more realistic. Many of us often find ourselves unhappy with our bodies, not necessarily our size, but our shaping. And skin-tight things can make you very self-conscious, no matter how happy you are with yourself, so I am a firm (heh) believer in shapewear! It’s comfy, safe (as long as you get one in your size!), and helps to “smooth” you out without getting rid of your glorious curves :) It’s often hard to tell how something works looking at their stock pictures…. shapewear on a photoshopped size 0 does not help anyone… so I hope this helps out a bit!

If anyone else out there wants to share their favorite shapewear, feel free to submit it, or even just a link + review! Cosplays have been slow, and I think this would be a good addition to our blog since I am constantly getting asks about this sort of stuff! :)
