was reminded of the anniversary so here's this pic from 2021 I never shared! :')

late night reminder to self: your depressive episode will not last forever. it will have an end. tonight will not be the end of you.
Hey guess what i saw this a few days ago when i was in an absolutely scary slump and then i spoke to my counsellors and did what they told me to do and now i feel so much better. So this is true. Reblogging for more good luck
why is this so beautiful in like a space way
Because the essence of humanity and life as a whole is a constellation of connections with one another. We are all here in this cosmos together, from the tiniest creatures to the distant stars.
You're not alone.
you got lots of company, and you're gonna be okay đŤ
FYI: Padawan Braids
All Padawans of races that grow hair have a braid behind their right ear. Braids have a yellow band at the top and a red band at the bottom. Additional beads or other color bands are added to mark the Padawanâs area/s of study.Â
The yellow band is applied when a Master takes on the Padawan before 13 standard years of age. The red band is applied after 16 standard years of age when he/she completes their Temple courses and starts studying independently under the guidance of his or her Master.
White:Â Healing
Blue:Â Mechanics
Red:Â Piloting
Green: The Living Force/Meditation/Precognitive Visions
Yellow:Â Lightsaber and other weaponsÂ
Black:Â Jedi version of Covert Operations
Anakin had red and blue bands. Mechanics and piloting.
Obi Wan had red and yellow bands. Piloting and weapons.Â
Ahsoka in Clone Wars is still young and so has only one yellow bead for her notable saber technique.Â
Braids are cut by the Masterâs lightsaber upon the Padawanâs completion of the Trials (generally around 20 standard years but often earlier or later depending on the student). Jedi who are expelled from the Order prior to completing their training have their braids ripped out rather than cut. Ouch!Â

When I was in grade school I used to send emails to biologists and zoologists asking them questions to get answers to include in school projects I was working on, and would cry when they did not respond because I thought I was stupid for thinking that some random kid would ever be deserving of a response from someone who does something as smart and cool and important as *checks notes* studies frog fungus.
Now, at 29, Iâm lowkey having a panic attack because my academic email is filled with middle schoolers wanting me to answer their questions about pygmy raccoons and I keep putting off answering them because Iâm so overwhelmed with all the other raccoon stuff I have to do.
Anyway, greatest apologies to any scientist I ever emailed as a child and also an adult.
I know your research is really important and I appreciate all you are doing but this is so fucking funny
group photo!
my biology professor has such a chaotic energy about him, last week i went to his office hours and somehow we ended up on the topic of gay marriage:
he said that when he lived in texas they changed the law to define marriage as âbetween a man and a woman in a house of religious worship with the intention to have childrenâ so he filed his taxes as single and when they called him up like âyou filed married last yearâ he was like âyou changed the law, i was married by a judge in a courthouse and i have no intention of having kidsâ and they told him âyou know who that law was forâ and i guess he hung up on them and did not, in fact, pay taxes as a married man that year
Chaotic good
NO! This is Lawful Good! He is following the LAW! Chaotic doesnât just mean cheeky!
this is like how Sweden stopped classifying homosexuality as an illness because people started a campaign of calling in gay to work
malicious compliance is one of the best tools in the arsenal of civil rights activism
Always reblog for malicious compliance
sometimes following the letter of the law works even better than ignoring it.
In Utah the new book banning laws apply to the bible, and thereâs already someone petitioning to get it removed from schools and libraries.
I hope no English teacher ever puts up with âbanning pronounsâ for even a moment
Update: The Utah book ban has, in fact, resulted in the Bible being banned in elementary and middle schools in Davis County, and high schoolers now only have limited access to the King James Version, due to âvulgarity and violence.âÂ
Now the Book of Mormon is under consideration for a ban as well. The parent who complained said that it was very violent.
i had a meet n greet with the anaesthesiologist for my top surgery and he said itâs his favourite procedure to work on because everyone who wants it is just so truly happy to be there, and i canât stop thinking about this career that is 99% attending to various sadnesses miseries and woes and 1% having funny little dudes in dangerfield buttonups throwing themselves on the operating table like YEEHAW LETâS GOOOO
i donât normally add to peopleâs posts, but iâm an OR nurse who specializes in gender affirming surgery, and this is totally correct. when we bring the patient into the OR we always ask them what surgery theyâre having (to make sure there are no oopsies) and more often than not, my top surgery patients will say âYOUâRE CUTTINâ THESE BITCHES OFFâ or âYOUâRE GONNA YEET THE TEATSâ and i know i have the best job in the world.
thank you for the support, big dick wizard
the thing is that i actually do enjoy romance in fiction but i also believe that romance-repulsed aros have the right to complain that NOTHING is made for them except maybe kids media. once you start to realize how pervasive romance is in every sector of society it's impossible to ignore. like you remember when there were barely any gay shows on television and straight people expected us to be grateful for the one gay side character on a network show? that's exactly how it feels with romance all the time. i want to see media created by adults for adults that doesn't involve romance anywhere in the plot. i want to see characters (main characters!!!) not want romance and not be treated as broken or crazy. i want a world where my romance-repulsed friends aren't confined to kids media (and even then, to only a limited selection)
we should have started rioting when they took cd and dvd player slots out of laptops
HELLO ! have you thought about Van Goghâs First Steps today ?
Here you go. This world is beautiful. Humans are beautiful. I love you
i know that âdonât harass people for being weird, they might be autistic!â is a fairly popular take on here. but as a Certified Autist, iâd like to add that harassing allistic and/or neurotypical people for being weird is also bad, and should not be done
and before you come in with âyeah, you never know who is and isnât autistic, and you shouldnât force people to out themselves!â i want to say two things: one, i agree. and two, even if you could magically avoid ever harassing a single autistic person, it still wouldnât be okay to go after NTs for being weird. theyâre people, janice. theyâre allowed to be really invested in naruto
