“Well,” Black Star’s grin grows even wider, from ear to ear now.  Then, the defective Diopside whispers “we got picked to compete on the show.”

Frill found herself grinning at the young man. She was glad that her sharing her origins could make him so happy. It must’ve felt nice to know that he wasn’t the only hybrid around. She certainly felt that way. “Oh I know. Everyone knows about you steven universe.” She chuckled softly bringing her gloved hand to cover her mouth as she did so.” 

She reached into her hair and pulled out a small chunk. “Don’t worry it’ll grow back soon. It’s bubblegum.” She explained before handing it to him. “Well the kindergarten I was made in was abandoned. I didn’t emerge for many eons. I would have come out defective but humans built their candy shop on top of the structure you see. There were things like sugar, taffy and other candies that dropped to the ground. They became part of the resources used to make me.” She laughed in amusement. “I guess you could say my parents were candy and homeworld technology.”
