part of the last harvest from our organic field in favoriten. today we had some 'krautfleckerl' for lunch. a real basic from the austrian cuisine, which is supercheap, really delicious - and vegan.
snacking time!
first time home made 'laugenstangerl'! they were awesome, these little pretzels!
simple yeast dough (flour, water, salt and tiny little bit of sugar) - make pretzels, buns, .. whatever you like - dip it in boiling water with baking soda, sprinkle with seasalt and bake for about 30 min at 180°C.
we ate them fresh from the oven with avocado - and later on with a delicious vegetable soup. happy monday!
Austrian food time!
Traditional apple strudel:
Strudel dough filled with
sliced apples
bread crumbs
ground hazelnuts
brown sugar
Pasta with red sauce made of fresh tomatoes, garlic and cilantro. From scratch in 20 min.
back from our weekend trip to eastern germany - these cookies definitly enriched our bus travels: packed with almonds, oats and bittersweet chocolate bits.
Oven roasted aubergine are one of our all time favorites. Add some fresh parsley, one minced garlic clove, a teaspoon of tahini and some olive oil and you have an amazing Middle Eastern dish to enjoy. Mahlzeit!
As the leaves are falling, we feel like something warm and hearty in our bellies like this: Strong autumn soup with carrots, lentils, barley, quinoa and amaranth.
Vegan barbecue time!
Home made seitan (marinated over night in oil, soy sauce, spices and garlic), veggie skewers and corn cobs. Special guest: Grilled banana as a side to the vegan chocolate cake.
Our first salad gif!
Wonderful salad featuring spring onions, cucumber, lentils, sprouts, walnuts, fresh herbs, avocado, oven roasted peppers, arugula, olive oil and lemon juice!
Pumpkin curry with peppers and chickpeas and arugula salad on the side. Peach cardamom pie with coconut oil crust (find the recipe at Oh, Ladycakes). Vegan and tasty!
light lunch on a sunny saturday! amazing tomatoes from the market with spring onions and parsley: so simple, so delicious!
Yesterday's dinner feat. potatoes, beans, oven tomatoes and peppers and chanterelle covered in parsley. Dessert: Apple and pear crumble! All vegan, all good.
classy lunch snack on the go!
