The happiest day of my life // The day I sang with Clara Benin.
I tweeted her and asked if I could sing Wine with her because after a few years of trying (SOOOO HARD) to meet her, I was finally going to see her live the next day. I literally fell on the floor when I received a message from her asking if I would want to sing.
The world stopped for me when she came out the stage. I just can’t believe that I’m seeing her live and the best part is I’m going to sing with her. The person and one of the reasons why I’m still on earth today is standing in front of me. I made sure I looked at the view. She was so kind and she guided me all throughout the performance.
I looked up the sky and also the sea of people in front of me. That’s when I remembered all the things I’ve been through for the past few years. The most painful years. I realized how amazing god is for putting up this plan and how his plans are much greater than my wildest dreams. He never left me even on my darkest nights. I questioned everything but I think he was just trying to make me understand. The struggle was beautiful indeed.
I was lost for a few years only to be found in the most unexpected way possible.
This is only the start. I know I have a long way to go but I think these photos are enough to keep me going. I will always look back on this day. The day I finally understood. The day I finally accepted things (my best friend’s unexpected departure). The day I finished mourning for myself.
