Columbia vistas...  The farmlands, the grid, the combine.... the sagebrush, wildflower, and rock. The distant Cascades... and those hazy skies and solar glared landscapes

Finally found the Hedgehog Cactus... they weren’t in bloom... But the desert’s beautiful in the spring with or without my spiny little friends... Porcupines of the plant world...   Also, check out the lichens on the rocks, yellow gold rust and neon green, dark volcanic basalt...

Springtime on the steppe... looking around for cactus blossoms... the cactus blossoms, the hedgehog blooms... lots of bitter root, lots of other blossoms, lots fresh new sagebrush growth with its pungent perfume... the cascades; snowy, off in the distance, hazy sky and lots of wind between.
