Red-tailed Black-Cockatoo, Perth WA.

These birds are dimorphic, males have a bright red tail and solid black feathers while females have barred red-to-yellow tails with yellow spots and bars on their bodies and heads. That said juveniles are very similar looking to females, just with paler yellow bars on their undersides. It takes around four years for a male to gain his stunning bright red tail!
