I remember liking Mike and Molly, Will and Grace, The Nanny, Mad about you, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Spin City... but no idea how well they aged.

I'm barely in the fandom right now. I considered selling my ticket, but I decided to go to one of their concerts as a goodbye.

I dont think kpop has a age, but I definitely dont have more energy for all the bullshit around it/fandom

Not anon but it was more like comparing who is getting better movie roles, brand deals, who is "realer" and a "better friend" to the other. At some point I saw the word "fanservice" and I knew I had to get out☠️It's so insane too because nobody knew these guys like 2 days ago. For all their faults, armys got here after a decade of BH marketing. I'm really looking forward to S2 but the fans scare me.

I looked into HR fandom and the leads have solo stans who move like tk solos and I noped outta there. Why the fuck do actors have solos man. Who are they competing against???!?

Aren't all fans of actors technically solos? Idk how that works, but actor fans clashing is a thing. Trust me, anon, there are no safe fandom spaces unless it's some obscure thing only three people like and even then it's a toss-up.

Diff anon here but I dont care about them anymore either. Sometimes I read shippers posts and it's always the same thing: Tae posts tkk, omg he's an attention seeker (jkkrs)/being bold and claiming his man(tkkrs), but they are a gay couple that needs to hide and do a lot of weird stuff so no one will be suspicious, jk gives him a half compliment, omg supportive bf, jkkrs get mad, jkkrs get fed, jkkrs are happy and ignore that it's the 5th time in 3 months that they call jk a terrible bf, hybe posts tkk related stuff, tkkrs act like it's 2017 and ignore the fact that tkk is one of the most present shippers in the last 5 years, jkkrs get mad, tkkrs get mad that jk and jimin are feeding shippers but only blame jimin... eternal loop.

Is this not true for a lot of asian het romance too? They only moved away from lip touching=kiss recently after everyone made fun of it. It is still awkward but doesn't get called out. There is also no equivalent like "gay for pay" for (allegedly) het actors doing cringe het stuff case in point--the wuthering heights pr stunt. it's not asian but you get the point.

Oh totally, I just mentioned BLs because the discussion was about a queer show.

People don't think too deeply about "straight cringe" because that is considered default so even if straight or supposedly straight actors play it up, it's just a regular Tuesday and not the moral failing of the people who fall for the PR or something lol.

I am a basic bitch too coz this show had me in a chokehold. I had the opp reaction to the side story. Did not like it. maybe if it had more buildup, instead they plunked it in the middle like "here you go, more gays that's what you wanted right?" What did you like about it?

Lol why is this suddenly a Heated Rivalry blog? Not complaining though, this blog has seen worse.

I wouldn't say it's the best, most perfect, well-acted show ever, but it takes a lot of cliche tropes that I like and presents it in a way that's more than just cliche tropes, if that makes sense. I'd describe it as a really well made adaptation of fanfiction.
